Haha this thread suddenly reminded me of that scene in 'Snatch' with Vinny Jones explaining the dildo scam LOL

I just had a thought of that company called Beaver Pay, looks like they are no longer around. Anyone remember them, lol.

That reminds me of back 7 or 8 years ago when Network Solutions was the only kid on the block. They use to put your full domain name on the out side of envelopes in all corespondents. That was very embarrassing. I could never even look at my mail man for fear that he would remember the domain names from my mail.
There are out and closeted adult webmasters. A lot of sponsors with the out mentality will conduct business under a porn name as if they were a mainstream company and see nothing wrong with it.
I'd compare the "out" adult webmaster who issues porn name checks to the out gay who purposely acts overly gay in public around his closeted friend.
Some common sense needs to be used.
hahaha, kind of reminds me of when I opened a business license in the most conservative county in California, under the name Twinkpost.com. I proclaimed it was an adult business, and I'd be operating out of my house. I even said I was shooting content there.Quote:

Now, I cringe at the thought of actually having had balls that big. I nearly got nailed to a cross when I pulled the same move in Sacramento County. The lady behind the counter had to call her supervisor, and they both looked at me nervously as if they were going to call the SWAT team at any moment.
:)
i think you got lucky. many areas where you can legally operate a business, you cannot legally shoot content. also there are many areas where you cannot operate adult businesses due to proximity to schools or churches.
the business license people aren't really involved in that - it's not their job to figure it all out.

You need to tell them what exactly you're doing.
You need to apply for a permit.
You need to have the zoning comission approve the property for such use.
They put it up for public review.
They'll put a sign on your front lawn saying it's up for public review.
Then they have a public vote.
Then it goes up in front of a community panel, where they can review it as a board.
All this, just to snap a pic of your wife / boyfriend, whatever.
hmmm...and i thought hawaii was restrictive! , i never could understand why i couldn't open up a "men's sex club" but i can open up a "men's gym" complete with private rooms ( probably where i'm suppose to store the weights and towels! ) :goof:Quote:
