I used to be all stuffed shirt about incest, which is odd since I'm a major kinkster and open to all kinds of things people would usually say "eeww" to, as long as they were safe and totally consensual. But a friend of mine totally blew my logic out of the water on this subject during a conversation we were having. It was about the norms of society (which I've never really paid much attention to anyway). It is "normal" in society to not have relations with your siblings. From a biological factor, two siblings who reproduce could very well end up with a damaged offspring, so we've made it against the rulse of society that siblings should not have sex at all. Now, why should this rule apply to brothers? If they are not going to reproduce, and they are both of legal age and are both consenting to the action, then what is the problem?
The final nail in this coffin came when I thought about the fact that I'm adopted. I do not have a brother in my adopted family, just a sister. If my adopted sister and I had a kid, the kid would be fine. But society deems this wrong. I do not know my biological family at all. So it is not improbable that if I were straight, I could get together with my biological sister and never realize it, have a few kids that could easily come out all messed up, and yet by the rules of society, this would be perfectly fine. I can legally and socially marry and have sex with my biological sister as long as we both do not know we are related, however I cannot legally or socially have sex with an adopted brother or sister, even if we are not biologically related. And even though there is no health concerns in having gay sex with a sibling, I am not to have sex with my bother (biological or adoptive) just because somebody else said so.
Having said this, I'm perfectly fine with the idea of bothers engaging in incest. However, my gay cousin recently admitted he had the hots for me and I was totally grossed out. LOL! Go figure. Brian, I think I'm in the same category with you. Others=fine, me=ewww.

Nah... I'm quite open to that.... I would never ever condone a brother and sister that fall in love.... Nature is funny sometimes and it plays silly tricks on us upon which we can not have our say, because we're living in a society that has current norms....
