I Need Another New Computer... Thinking About An iMac

I love them all and can't give even my older ones up. I have a couple of programs that run under OS 9 so I keep one older machine around just for that program but actually I haven't used it in months, Photoshop Elements almost does the job. I have a dual boot Macbook Pro and I use it only because of two windows programs I like. Real Draw Pro and Express Thumbnail Creator.
Windows boots and runs much faster on my Mac and so do those programs. Even my built in iSight camera works when chatting under windows. :bananacock: :bananacock:

There is no question (in my mind) that the "plug in and turn on" approach of Apple has worked and that they will continue to launch new products well into the future - in spite of the rumors that "mac users represent only 10% of the computer users out there" attitude - personally, I think those numbers will continue to grow with more cross platform abilities that mac users enjoy....

as far as the types of products that are available, a trip to the local "apple store" will do you good for an afternoon or three

Hahaha! I will pass on the iphone for right now... I love my blackberry and I am with verizon wireless. Iphone is on at&t, which doesn't have very good signal at my house. Also iphone is on the edge network which is much slower then Verizon's evdo.

This mac is amazing, I can't keep my hands off of it!

Lee go pick one up! Shit load of free, awesome, software for the mac also. Amazing device and os!

Well the only problem so far... My verizon blackberry won't tether with the mac. Which means I can't use my blackberry as a modem connection for when I travel. I only use this a few times a year, mainly when I visit my parents which only have dial up. So I will have to come up with some alternative for when I go up there. I could install windows xp and use bootcamp or parallels, but I am trying to avoid doing that, it would work fine then.

Maybe I will just find a hot spot or something to do my work when I go up there.

Other then that I am loving it! I hope I don't run into any other bumps like that. It's well worth the work around though.
