i think saying "boy" in the gay market is a little like saying "teen" in the straight market. just my opinion...

The term "boy" can mean young men in general to the gay community. Online, people often expect it to mean twinks, as basschick said.

If you are doing a leather fetish site, the word "boy" can mean a submissive male of any age. "boy" denotes his position and is always spelled with a lowercase 'b'.

Twinks have also began using the word "boi" online to identify themselves, but I've heard that this can be an offensive term in some cultures, so it's best to avoid that.

That is very good info from both of you and basschick! I didn`t see it like that, I was more seeing it as being just a nickname type of thing, of course when you look at Frank, you ain`t thinking big muscular type of man, he`s more in the twink category, and that's mainly where we got inspired for the name.

But nonetheless, the site is converting really well for our webmasters, and we haven't made the changes so far, ( we will be doing that next week)

So everyone is more than welcome to try it out for themselves and see how well it performs, either before or after the modifications are done. what I am saying???...do it before and after... it will give you a good idea of how much those changes have a impact on conversions with your traffic and it might help you on your own sites designs ;)
