Ah, I'll pass then. We can just be friends. LOL! ;)

I certainly didn't mean to imply that a producer/photographer/sound guy/keygrip forcing himself on a model is ok under any circumstances. Why is everyone so uptight about this? Sometimes a model needs a helping hand or mouth and requests it. That hardly makes fluffing a consenting adult model immoral or illegal We're gay men after all. Not many of us have any hangups about sucking a stangers cock at a bathhouse. ;)
Fuck, I'll post 'em. I have no shame! LOL!
Models ask for drugs, hookups, etc all the time, too. It doesn't make it OK to give it to them.
Of course, I'm not saying that "fluffing" a model is illegal... just that many of us believe that it's important for professionalism reasons to keep the sex between the models, and not blur the boundaries between a producer, who is employing the model -- or for that matter, his staff -- and the model, who wants to do a good job, get paid, and hopefully get hired again.
We have models ask for "help" all the time, and if they need it, usually there's another model around who's happy to oblige (we generally shoot multiple scenes with multiple models.) If we're doing a solo or whatever where there isn't another model around,we just make it clear to the model that "fluffing" isn't an option, and in the long term, many models -- including ones who have asked for "fluffing" -- have told us that because there's such a clear boundary, they feel a lot safer and more comfortable working with us than with other studios where that wasn't the case.
Of course, that's a totally different scenario than in a bathhouse, where, presumably, both parties are there for a hookup and there's no inherent power imbalance between the two parties.
Well said, Chip. Plus, when a model has worked with someone who has made it clear that "getting fluffed" is expected, they'll often assume that they are expected to engage in that kind of activity no matter where they go. So if they request it, it may simply be because they think it's the only way they'll get asked back or make more money. I won't tell anyone else how to run their business but I would never mess around with one of our models.
And before I get any smart ass remarks, it could happen! :P
On a lighter note, I was helping out with a shoot once and one of our models asked me, in a very cheeky way, if I was getting turned on. I thought, now how do I answer that? If I say yes I would feel unprofessional and if I said no I might hurt his feelings. I finally had to level with him and tell him the truth, when I'm holding a lighting rig or a camera and trying to make sure the shot is just right, it really isn't sexy for me. It's really just technical.
I've been on set, once, as an observer, and about the same thing happened to me. Even though I wasn't actually working (Well, I did go snag the condoms and lube from the other room.. but that doesn't count)... there was entirely too much going on that I was trying to take in and understand to even consider having a more sexual reaction to what going on. The lighting and camera stuff, the director explaining what he wanted to be happening at a given time, the starting and stopping, etc.
At that point my respect for talent that can keep it together enough to focus on doing what they're being asked to do, look beyond the activity around them, AND still be able to fuck for the camera, went up about ten notches.
I agree with Don's response and Pat and AJ and I usually say something similar (which also happens to be the truth.)
We do have models ask all the time if we (production staff) are getting turned on by what they're doing, but we generally reply that our focus is on creating a fantastic product that will turn on a LOT of people and that requires a lot of focus, and they usually understand that. We usually also add that, when you've shot 400+ scenes, it sort of ceases to be anything other than a focus on the production aspects of the work.
I think many models derive their sense of self-worth from being attractive and arousing to everyone they meet (which, honestly, isn't very healthy) and so gently reminding them that they have (or will have) many fans and that they look great... while also keeping focus on the professional nature of the shoot... usually serves the dual purpose of keeping them aroused and focused and keeping the setting professional.
The same thing happened to me with a straight couple who had asked me to photograph them doing the do. It was pretty much the standard fair...sucking them munching then fucking. The the wife gets up and goes into their walk-in closet and comes out wearing a very large strpon. She proceeds to unceremoniously ram the thing up he husbands ass and fuck him for about a half hour. I just kept clicking.
She hops off the bed comes over to me and grabs my crotch. "What? you're not hard!" She got so pissed! I explained that yes they were attractive, but I was too busy focusing on taking the best pics I could. She was still so mad.
Same thing when I worked at a adult book store. People would say, you must be hard and/or horny all the time working here. Nope, was my reply and they would look at me funny.
Whatever...
Yeah, I get that a lot. People remark that I must be turned on all the time at work and are surprised when I tell them I'm not. I also get the comment about how great it must be to "sit around watching porn all day". I have to laugh. I almost feel bad telling them that most of my day is spent looking at a regular data on a computer screen and doing general office work, and even when there is porn on my computer it's a whole different thing dealing with it as content for a website then sitting at home with your mouse in one hand and your dick in the other. LOL!
My friends kept bugging me about going to a show thinking it was going to be super exciting.
I finally invited them to the Florida show and after a day they spent most of their time in florida and going to clubs
They don't ask to go anymore :D
I remember the first time we invited Chris to a show, he really did think it was going to be an orgy of naked men and women walking around fucking each other.
My how he was disappointed, not only was the show floor pretty much dead, he only actually saw 2 naked models and they were taking part in a photoshoot at one of the straight after parties.
I think he only did two other shows after the first Vegas one we took him too and he actually realized that it was more business orientated than 'sex' orientated haha
Im also sure he had more fun watching me run up 3 thousand dollar bar tabs and buying drinks for everyone than the actual events at the show itself LOL

Lee
Oh this thread brings back memories!
You guys need to re-post your cock picks :bananacock:

This is me ~ some are pics measuring for someone who requested on cam
Huh? I hope you're talking about my photography , Ken is the real showoff here http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...020106TA75.gif
I was talking with an industry friend at a show who works primarily in production (editing video, retouching stills, etc) and he was commenting how unique our industry is that he'd feel guilty if he *didn't* have porn on the screen when his boss walked by :)
I'm doing my job because of fun not the money. I'm almost never turned on while shooting, but I always have to jerk off before I start editing. Otherwise I can't work. Sometimes once is not enough. ;-P I'm in this biz for 6 years already.
