Before I do a shoot with a model, we spend a couple of minutes dealing with their model name. Often, I will go on AEBN and check.
I did a shoot with a model a few years back, who had an established model name. I like to use their established model name, partly because the 2257 thing wants us to list past and present names the model has used.
An established name that they, and they alone, have used, not a name that someone else has or is using.
A few months after we did the shoot, I get some vague missive from another studio that they seemed to think they owned the name!! They shot with the model AFTER I did.
That matter died a quietly a few days later. That would have been a matter between the studio AND the model, and as such, the model should have disclosed that to me in the name selection process. But since I shot with the model before the other studio did, it did not affect me.
As for "Jude" taking "Kelly Taylor", the big-name studios that shot with him and released the scenes, should not have used someone else's / some other studio's model name. Only creates confusion in the market place for buyers- not to mention the 2257 stuff.
