Advice on CC Processors please: Paycom?

i'm pretty puzzled. i have very different experiences than CBLCasey with paycom, and so do most people i know. paycom usually has a higher percentage of signups and rebills go through than ccbill. i read about this on boards all the time - and i mean daily. i also work for a program with cascading and overall, the program keeps epoch as primary for this very reason.

i believe any processor can turn up the scrub for a site with higher than normal chargebacks or fraud, but overall very close to every cascading program owner i know keeps paycom as primary because of the higher acceptance rate. i read it in threads, and hear it on icq.

I've used Verotel for quite some time now on their Pro Merchant account which gives you your own billing descriptor. I have a 6.7% rate with them. They're in Amsterdam so emailing is a process.. so I always call and get help right away... they also have a live support link you can get help on during business hours. I'm always nervous about processors disappearing so I never recommend anyone though lol

Isn't it strange? Established people in the industry having completely different experiences with these processors? I wish we had 5 reliable companies to choose from.. .maybe some day :)

Seriously though what feedback or reaction have you had to the $1.50 surcharge to members? would you say this has affected signups? im worried it might deter people form signing up.

You know when I first tried that option I thought the same thing but no difference at all and not one email from customers ( or potential customers ) about it. I think it's because when they've got that far on the signup they really want it and an additional $1.50 doesn't matter.
