Hi All;
Bec, you are welcome to build your site first, or build on our servers. Before access to our servers is granted, we first have a Featured Contributor agreement that is put together specific to your site and any technical needs you might have.
I will need to know what type of content you'll be offering, whether or not you have exclusive rights, or if it's properly licensed for your use. We do not allow fisting, scat, pissing, bondage that depicts rape or that nasty animal sex stuff. So I need to have an idea of the type of content you'll be offering, approximately how much content you'll be starting off with and how often you will be able to update.
What ever you start off with as far as content must be worth $24.95 a month, all on it's own, or at least very close to it! Depending on the type of content you'll be offering, the amounts can and will differ. Let's say you were going to start with simply images and videos, I'd say you should have at least 30 to 40 model sets, 4 to 8 long playing videos and a fair amount of shorter 1 to 3 minute clips. Just look at what you will be offering and say to yourself, "Would I pay $24.95 a month for that"? We truthfully want to see sites with more content than I've mentioned above as a bare minimum.
Zentz, we'd already discussed in email your content and frequency of updates and you're all set!
Bell, I've uploaded a head shot as my avatar so you can confirm if we've met before! It's not the greatest picture, but one that I could come up with quickly.
ap, we can provide you with php/mysql and we pay you using our affiliate program, so you have to use it to be paid. If you're asking if we can offer your site an affiliate program, we are working on that now and hope to be able to offer the hosted sites who opt in, promotion of their sites at Puppy Cash. A webmaster would be able to promote Badpuppy and all of those sites that opt in to participate. Our existing affiliates will also be able to promote those sites as well.
Any of you are welcome to email me anytime. I am still playing catch up from my vacation, but should be able to get back to you fairly quickly.
Have a great day everyone and many thanks for your support!
thanks lisa i'll zap u an email.
Just to add to Lisa's comments on the amount of content, you can't realistically charge 24.95 for less than 100 sets. Just for photos alone, we've got about 500 sets with another 200 going up this week and I still think we need more. We are running a $40/signup program, so we have to average 2 full months out of every subscriber to make a profit.
We've got a theory here that the number of months subscriptions will last for is function of the volume of content in megabytes and the age of the files in seconds.
Another way to think of it is in terms of time spent on a site. To keep a user entertained for a full month, thats roughly 10 visits X 20 minutes per visit = 200 minutes. On a broadband connection, assuming the user doesn't look at the entire set, they can blast through about 1-2MB of on disk content per minute. A photoset is about 2-8MB, so thats ~1 photoset every couple minutes, times 200 minutes per month = content burn rate of 200 photosets / month. Bigger files slows them down. Fresh stuff that nobody else has makes a difference because they jizz faster :D Video clips are even cooler because they take up more time and burn out slower so you need less.
You can run a hobby paysite on less, but if you want to make some real cash when you look at the size of your members section, it needs to say gigabytes. lots of gigabytes.
Hope that helps :teach:

Lisa,
I just wanted to say what a great sponsor I think you are. They way you just bang out those answers to everyone is great. No wonder Badpuppy won that award a few months back.
Glad to see your face again in your avatar. I look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.
Cheers

Thanks Lisa for stopping back and giving a clearer idea to us on what needs done to qualify! Have a great day!!
Some very good insightful info! Thanks for putting that out there - it does help in figuring out just what it really does take volume wise to retain!Quote:

What changed? :notsure:
That's all fine and dandy if you are running a twink paysite. You would have access to 10,000+ different photosets. But if you want to do a badpuppy site in a more limited (less popular) niche, than much, much less is needed to keep a member. I have joined bear sites with less than 100 exclusive photo sets/movies and stayed around for a few monthsQuote:

That's why doing a site on bp is great, it's an easyer sale plus there is always something for your members to see, or do.Quote:
