Worked for them for about six months back in 1995-96. I liked them a lot although they could be quite demanding, perfectionists even. I had great respect for them and their amazing talents. Their show was wonderful and I'm glad I got to see it so many times...never got bored. I still listen to the soundtrack on my iPod.

Unfortunately, I actually worked for their manager, Bernie Yuman, whose nickname was "Barely Human." He himself said he was the ampersand in "Siegfried & Roy." He was a very angry and fearful man and made my life hell. I tried hard to stick it out but things just never got any better. Then I got a chance to open Star Trek: The Expereince at the Las Vegas Hilton and I was out the door.

The only time Bernie ever smiled at me was when I told him I was quitting. :frown:

1) Adult webmaster since 1995. I remember when Chris Newman owned and put up his first link on Men On the Net. When Badpuppy was born. When Dennis and Ted went up with Hunkhunters. 2) I'm a vegetarian.

3) I play basketball here at the gay league in San Francisco. I'm also working on a gay baseball league (hardball) and begging the Giants and the City of San Francisco to get involved and maybe sponsor the league.

4) I'm an avid gardener and nature lover. I've built several ponds in the last few years, both indoor and outdoor. People love my gardens but it's all mother nature's doing, not mine.

5) I live for my cats. I'm waaaay to overprotective and love them with all being. They are my children. I'm been away from them now for several months now but I visit them and get to watch them on my webcam. I ended a 16 year partnership last year in Santa Fe and began a new one here in SF. The cats are in NM and it's tearing me up but I can only hope to be with them again soon.

6) I'm a huge Cyndi Lauper fan and addicted to queer as folk. I love cinema, theatre, the power of a symphony. I love playing the piano and singing. I love huge powerful singing voices. I'm way into American Idol this year.

7) I suck at webdesign and not very aggressive when it comes to sales. I am very comfortable with working only a few hours a week and doing other things with my life. My interests are way to numerous for one lifetime. I'm going back to school in architectural interiors and horticulture here in SF. I love old buildings, art history, the ocean. I would love to someday design my own house.

8) I sometimes wonder why I am here on earth. War, hatred, violence, I don't understand why people are mean to animals, each other, murder, it just seems so unfathamable to me why people do what they do. Unfortunately its the only place I have to work with so I do the best I can.

hey, Huskyhunks - i didn't know you were another vegetarian! cool - how long ya been one? i've been a vegetarian for almost 12 years, and i don't buy leather.

it's a VERY scary world out there right now, but maybe we're here to put out the message that being gentle and kind is an option to being aggressive and harsh. even if the message only reaches a few people, you never know how many people they will reach.

I can't believe I missed this thread! glbt webmasters are obviously way more interesting than your average joe. here's my sad list:

1. My name is Matthew, but people call me Matt, and when I work in fast food they always put Mat on my nametag! I'm an indie music artist, a clothing designer, and am not employed in any profitable sense.

2. I'm the most humble primadonna ever. I want what I want, when I want it, but it's never much and I always say please and thank you.

3. My nickname is SpaceMonkey, cuz i have really long arms and legs, i climb on everything, i have big ears, and i'm super ditzy and scatter brained...at least I assume that is where the nick comes from.

4. I opened my own computer store when I was 18. I also closed my computer store when I was 18, due to extreme water damage. Fuckin leaky roof! I'll never get over it! I've always been poor white trash, and this was a dream come true for me. Like someone throwing a bucket of blood on cinderella while she was at the ball...ok now I can relate to Carrie and feel her pain even more.

5. I used to be a straight edge vegetarian virgin, then I started going out to parties and everything went to hell. I still don't drink or do drugs, but I have definately been known to smoke (on stage that is) hehe. And I can still count sexual partners on my fingers, but just bairly.

6. I daydream a lot. My daydreams flipflop with my bipolar nature. One day I wish I was a modern messiah who could bring peace love and unity to everyone, the next I'm wishing I was a superhero that destroyed anyone who looked at me the wrong way.

7. I'm very immature. I feel 18, but i'm 25. I'm very idealistic and naive, and news stories still make my heart ache daily.

8. My first online venture was jaycam.net, a personal camsite/blog, which earned me 70k in a year, which of course I blew on friends, clothes, and keeping my bong in use. Youth AND money are waisted on the young!

9. I have sad, add, and I'm usually depressed. I don't have medical insurance, and these are very self defeating issues. A chicken and egg situation from hell, how can I get a job if I don't wanna go anywhere, I can't pay attention to anything, and everything makes me sad?

10. I have horrible vision and have been without glasses for three years now. Everything is very surreal, like an expressionist painting, and I'm living more and more in my own head. I can't tell if people are looking at me. Last week I fell in a giant hole that I didn't see, while I was carrying a pot of hot oil! (yeah that was stupid, but i was dumping it outside) Now I'm all burned and cut up, I look like the worst off victim of a prison riot. If I ever get glasses or contacts again, I won't be able to stop staring at everything, I will feel like a whole person again.

Can you tell I love talking about myself? I used to have ungodly amounts of friends, and now I have next to none, so I'm still not used to to not having people ask me about myself, how i've been, what i'm doing, etc.

All across the US there are these models of heath care services. Here in my city I can bring them a P&L statement (with all my heavy start up costs) and they will take me as a low cost or free client.

I'll be going back in next week, before I make my first million. After I'm making too much money, all medical expences can be charged the LLC.

2. I sometimes use black shoe-polish in my hair, trying to hide my grey hair after 46 years of life. But I don’t complain, my father went early grey and mostly bald in his late 20s (after having me no doubt as only son).

3. My first gay website was hosted on a BBS in 1996. With only 8 incoming connections, I was asked to relocate, overwhelming his server. I investigated and hosted with the same company used by HunkHunter. Soon after re-opening, I got a telephone call from the host, asking if I was aware that after two weeks my billing charges were over $200. I of course shut down the free site, coming back on the scene FEB’98 with a full business plan.

I guess I'll give this a shot... (deep breath) ok here goes...

1. I have been in the industry for a little over three years as a video editor. Have worked with AmateurStraightGuys.com and ClubAmateurUSA.com. Decided to go out on my own a year ago but took me until this year to really get KC Webwerks started.

2. I am 35, been single for 4 years after a really bad relationship. But have been seeing someone who is 16 years younger than I am.

8) I was recently diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome which means I have the conditions that if left untreated will lead to Type 2 Diabetes. I'm hoping I can reverse it by exercising and cutting out most of my sugars... I go back in July to see how I'm doing.

9) I used to work at QVC, the cable shopping network. While employed there I witnessed two very frightening things. I saw Joan Rivers without her make-up... and I saw Richard Simmons in his underpants (boxers by the way). I don't know which was worse.

10) This July will be nine years I've been with my partner Ryan. We actually met from a gay personal ad in the Philadelphia Gay News. People always ask me why I chose to answer his ad. The honest answer is simple... he lived very close by. I wasn't picky back then! LOL!
