Seriously...this sounds like a really great idea. Everyone's input so far has been great and I'm not sure what more to add except that it might me nice to add some sort of fundraiser to the mix; Perhaps some type of auction to benefit GLBT organizations or an AIDS research/treatment/awareness group. I know...we could have a gay webmaster bachelor/ette auction! That would be fun and I bet we could raise some cash for a good cause. I'd really like to be a part of helping to raise awareness and treatment for the PLWHA community. Let me know what you think of that.
yes ... I definately agree with some others about having brainstorming and roundtable discussions. If it's just a big weekend of partying and booze, I'd find that not fun after a few hours as I also don't drink.
(yea, yea - I'm a cheap date ...):groovy:
:bump:
I think its a great idea! I would love to come depending on whats offered and the location! And I think raising some money for a charitable org. would be a great idea!

Hmm, would that make you a gay mormon? LOL!!!Quote:

I'd be up for a trip to NY. But I agree with Basschick, why not do something in LA. We've got sun, fun, cute boys, and the beach? What else do you need? :DQuote:

maybe we could get something going in l.a., too - the san diego guys and the chatsworth guys are nearby, lots of big programs within a 55 minute flight - many are here, actually.
i don't drink, so watching webmasters get sloppily drunk isn't my idea of a good time, either.
As well as 4 other shows a year ;)Quote:

Whole reasoning behind the event was not only to do a gay specfic show but to do something that has been needed for a while whilt i am the first to admit that there are many gay companies operating out of CA there are also many who wont go to any of the west coast shows becuase they are happening there all the time.
Heck, it would be just as, if not, easier for us to do the thing in Florida but again, there are already shows that happen in FLA every year, his is going to be something different in every way, from the location, to the venue to the cost to webmasters :)

Hey, you could hold it in Santa Fe or Demoines.. I'd go. But NY would rock. I'd even promise to stay relatively sober.
relatively of course.....
I love NY...just like the t-shirt says.
Lee,
You make an excellent point. Of course, you could have it in your basement and I'd be there. Anything for you, hon. ;)
Awww so sweet Don :)
Anyway while i think of it...
Whats the dealio with you and the Phoenix forum? You going or not? LOL

if there are to only be 125 paid rooms...
how do we know before we get there that we are guaranteed one
of those rooms ?? - and we won't be required to bunk
with a roommate, will we ??
and how do we claim it ??
. . . wondering what Lee's Basement LOOKS like....
and if a secret key or password is required to enter there ??

You know, with this insane visit from my parents I had given no thought to any extra things. I will have to check my schedule and see if I have anything pending going on that weekend. If not, is it still open? I can probably find some friends to stay with. I'll let you know. Thanks for thinkin' of me. :)Quote:

Will be the first 125 people to register (incuding partners obviously) so if you and your hubby registered you would want your own room so you just associate both names with 1 room :)Quote:

If you wanted separate rooms, you say you need a room each :)
But it will be a first come first served basis and when the 125 rooms are all gone it will be made public on the event site too :)
