But I think his has to do with conveniance as opposed to being cheap. Stuff getting in his mailbox rather than hunting for it. He spent about $40 for some crappy calendars and the Brokebak Mountain CD (pffft) so cheapness has probably nothing to do with it. Although some porn sites out there charge funny rates for bunch of plug-in crap and cheap Ounique sets

When I ask him he says most sites lack convenience and variety so he hangs out at the yahoo groups. Or did a while back.

Now me ... I can count the sites I've paid for on my 10 fingers. And not because I'm cheap but because I am really, really, really picky. Really. If all people were like me nobody would make money at all.

Also TGPs - so much free stuff floating around that I'd be crazy to spend money. It's extremely easy to get off on TGPs alone

So I think, having free stuff floating around, having lots of sites competing, lots of crappy sites also, TGPs and so on it contributes to a lot of people just not spending the money
