people just giving away good ideas instead
of doing something themselves.

my point, however, is if someone has a great idea for a site they should try to develop it themselves. the types of sites that are being suggested are good. they will get joins, they will retain, and they will make the owners a lot of money.
so why give someone else an idea and only get 50% recurring or $30 a join?
I hear ya but for many webmasters, this simply isnt an option so rather than not make anything they can make 50% recurring or $30 a join on the niches that they know they have traffic for but do not yet have a home for.Quote:

In addition to the financial investment in building a paysite of your own (which we have soe great topics on in the archives) there is also a big chunk of a webmasters time that gets eaten up so far as updates and support too.

i agree thats the train of thought of most webmasters. and its somewhat logical. personally id rather find someone to partner with or maybe give up some luxuries in order to build the sites, rather than just give my idea to someone else.Quote:

i guess my point is this: a webmaster who is earning a good living doing galleries, free sites, seo, or whatever... should be able to save up enough cash to start a site. remember it doesnt have to start out perfect. some of the best paysites on the net started out as crappy looking amateur sites. 95% of what matters is the content. the rest is just window dressing. rome wasnt built in a day, your personal empire doesnt have to be either.
sleep when youre dead. there is always more time. i know someone working 4 hours a day making $3m a year, and i know someone working 15 hours a day whos lucky if he hits $50k a year. one of them obviously has it figured out.Quote:

How about Snowballing as a niche paysite?
Do you folks think that would do well on regular gay cumshot traffic?

OK, now that I know what it is.....
EEEEEWWWW, there is no way in well, you get the picture.
I'm sure there is a huge following for it though! I just checked the yagoo groups email account I have (that I never really check) and there had to be 15-20 diffrent emails with snowballing or the like. I would think thta cum shot traffic would work, but I'm sure that once a good site came arround for it, then more would follow and they would make it's own "section".
Actually ... it has been the sharing of "good ideas" here that has led to the formation of numerous partnerships. We're able to network, discover who else has similiar ideas, who can bring what as far as design talent, content, time, etc to the concept ... and go from there. I can't personally sit here and try to build every niche ... either from lack of time, content, or more often, a good understanding of the niche ... and if someone else CAN build it as part of their affiliate program ... it often "fits" into things I do have going on ... and vice versa. And I do put in 12-16 hour days, as do many who come here. We are building our own empires in the categories that "fit" for each of us.Quote:

you know, there is also a very noticable lack of latin male sites. i only know of one offhand, and it is terrible!
I know of a few. Latinboyz.com, latinjocks.com, bilatinmen.com, and there are a couple more that I know of that are coming out soon.
LatinJocks.com has good conversions because of the parties they've been having arround the country for the last year or two. Plus, they have the DVD/Video line coming out soon. (You'd never guess what other companies they own. lol) ;)
But there are only a handful of true latino sites that don't have the same content that everyone else has in their "latino section"
andymike - latinjocks and latinboys are both sub-niches. how about a GOOD latin male site that isn't all twinks or jocks, but many types of latin males?
dawgy, sometimes i get tired of making my own sites. i had to make 5 in the last two weeks to represent niches that either weren't around or weren't well represented. it would be far easier for me to give my ideas to webmasters who might develop sites i can promote.
we are currently shooting exclusive content for two sites, and i KNOW i'm not going to be doing all these niches. i'm spread too thin as it is.
Here is another thought..
What about 'butch' and 'fem' type paysites?
You know, the steeotypical 'gay looking' guys for the fems and the 'rough looking' guys for the butch?
Seems that there wouldnt be a need to shoot exclusive content as you could pretty much just pick and choose fro existing content for these two niches.. that gives me an idea for an article brb hehe.

perpetuating the stereotype? ;)
