Ok lee I am looking at my cookies and it says expires at the end of the session. so bottom line evey time you close netscape your done.. you have to login again! this should be set to 24 hours?

I'm alive. I was just not in the mood for posting recently. :1ymca:

I also don't quite understand why these cleanups are needed anyway? People may not post for 5 months or a year and then decide to post again.

Hmm weird, i just checked on Garys copy of Netscape and the cookie is set to expire 1 year after being set, can i ask what version of NS you are using?

It also looks like it is set for 12 months before expiring in IE also so not sure why yours is different.

Odd... I just recieved the letter of doom from the board. Wierd though cos I just posted today, yesterday, and was active on the board last week... just miss the weekends though cos don't touch a computer over the weekends.

netscape 7.2.5 for the mac.
it might not be the cookies at all I seem to have seen a thread about this.
I think it's a fourm setting?:juggle:

I see more Spammers have been brought to the board by doing this.


I think their has to be a better way to "clean up" then delete accounts that dont post. I am sure there is a login record, I really dont care if some people dont post. Some people's posts just lower my IQ after I read them... :P
