er... this doesn't only happen in california. i know lots of other places this happens in - i've been a webmaster for over 7 years, and i've seen banks close accounts due to porn in almost every state there is.

i neither hide what i do nor do i blame anybody. but what happened to dawgy was in another state entirely - they closed his account because he received a zmaster flyer that had his name on it and said he was an adult webmaster on the outside of the flyer.

and i know many more such stories. both of the mothers i mentioned where the state tried to take their kids were not in california, or even on the west coast.

i don't think i have "it all" figured out - no more than any other person. but i seriously doubt that california is worse than anywhere else.

sounds like you have some serious issues. we are ALL members of the public, and hostility will not make people willing to listen to our side. and what they don't listen to, they cannot understand.

You either go through life and live your own way, or at some point you do what society wants. I'm not the one with issues, I DO exactly what I want.

This whole thread, (If you'd care to scroll back) started with a

"terrible magazine sent me their magazine free and it got me in trouble, ain't the magazine awful?"

I made the point that the mag in question A: Didn't come "unwrapped" to start with, and B: wasn't the "magazine's fault" in ANY case.

And then here we go, off into the twilight zone.
Real simple....either do the business and live with it, or get out and work for the man.

As for me, I AM the man, so I'll just keep working my business. When and If someone pulls that crap on me, we'll have at it. You go worry about your issues over there.

If I see them I will pick them up. Sometimes there are good things in them, but sometimes it's all ads.

I know people gotta run ads and all, but isn't there some writers (Lee) that could write something for them to maybe spread'em out a little more...

Yea, I'm not real sure what a "zmaster flyer" is, that's not what was originally discussed. If indeed a piece of adult material was sent improperly, which is what it sounds like, then that is a separate and different matter. I firmly believe material should always be sent in compliance with postal regulations. And if it IS, then there wouldn't be an issue.

this "zmaster" thing is certainly an issue, but, as I said, it's not the issue we were originally talking about. originally, we were talking about AVN Online, (Black plastic bag) and KLIXXX magazine (usually white envelope) being sent to someone. Then that someone, getting fired from their volunteer work because the local postal guy, in violation of postal regulations, talked about what he "found" in the guy's mail to someone. (Which I'm still trying to figure out.)
The receiver, was accusing the magazines of being terrible because they did this horrible thing of sending him the magazine(s) after he went to Internext and signed up for them by default during the registration process. It was his accusation that somehow the magazines were at fault for this egregious sin.

THAT was the issue on point
