I don't think we're being pussies. I don't know how old you are, but I'm 42. I come from an era when gay men were demonized as pedophiles. And a lot of the world still thinks of us that way.

It sparked a huge outcry from the public when it was written in 1978. Many of us still carry that sensitivity with us.

And the fact is, in my country, and probably yours, a policeman only has to believe that model doesn't look of age (fuck the 2257 info that says he is) in order to walk into your premises and seize everything. Then you're in court, and if the judge finds in your favour, the cops don't even say they're sorry. But you've spent a heap of money defending yourself.

So, it's more than just a casual word for me.

by the way, MiamiB - calling your fellow webmaster pussies may not be the best way to make them want to do business with you. but for what it's worth, pussies have given me some very pleasurable hours, so i don't think calling someone a pussy should be an insult.

I'm sorry but some of your are totally missing one basic fact. The only people that really have a problem with the Gay community using boy is the straight community. As many have stated in this thread, boy is a term that's part of our culture and is used somewhat like the African American term "girlfriend" ( as in "girlfriend please" or "girlfriend you need to find yourself a man" etc. )

Need I remind you of one of the most successful porn ventures lately created by a heterosexual man " girls gone wild " ?

This is a complete double standard created by antiquated fears in the heterosexual community of homosexuals being pedophiles. Plain and simple. If we aren't doing anything wrong on our sites we have nothing to fear.

NOTE: After Andymikes comment about CCBIll not processing for domains with "boys" in it I decided to do some digging and found quite a few that CCBill processes for ( I did a google search for *boy*.com ccbill ) . Some of which have discustingly young looking guys: dutchboys.com , sugarboys.com , gay-boys.us , goldenboysusa.com and many many more.

Now I'm really confused. But I do know one thing.. a name is a name.. the sites contents and the image they protray is what matters here, not the word boy. My $0.0002

young boys is not acceptable to me.. but teen boys is. If the guys look underage on a site it's not at all ok, no matter what the name is.

I think they where grandfatherd in because of already having processing in place before visa changed everything.

well having just submitted a site to paycom with boy in the domain & title, i guess we'll see what happens.

i use the word because i see nothing wrong with it. and i will defend my right to use it, as long as 'girl' is acceptable. simply put, i dont see how they can ban one without banning the other. and ill fight them all the way if they try.

then again im just a bitch like that, so i hear.

there are some tgps - richardsrealm, for one - who long since banned the term "girl". also search123 banned "girl" when i demanded to know why "boy" was banned, and not "girl".

Why do webmasters want to use the word "boy"? It's a very popular term with surfers. When I check my standings on gay top lists, the sites using the term "boy" get more hits out than other sites. I bet lots of these surfers are looking for illegal sites of very young-looking underage boys...if you're not delivering that, most of that traffic is a waste. Better to use wording that does not mislead the age of your models.

Well it does seem to be an issue... I go away for the weekend and my thread blows up with comments. That's a good thing, anyway. :)

I think I will carefully use both of the domains. I wouldn't think of connecting bookstoreboys.com to any underage stuff and my meta tags will be all in line as well.

I do see something of a double standard between the gay and straight communities on this, however. A bit discouraging.
