Hi Jason,

I do work in adult & I wish to continue doing so. I do however have some serious misgivings about how certain sections of the industry are currently operating - I'm sure that must be obvious. The industry has done a certain amount to clean up it's act and in doing so has gained a greater acceptance from society as a whole - however there is still a very long way to go.

In the past I feel I have been guilty of just trying to make money. I have found that now I am thinking a lot more about the ethical aspects of what I am doing I have actually started making more money.

It's like prostitution. There is a nice way of doing it and a nasty way and other ways that would lie somewhere between those two extremes.

Ideally commercially contracted sex should not leave either or (possibly any) of the participants feeling dirty & ashamed. Each person will have got what he or she wanted from the deal. They may even have received some additional perks. E.G. the service provider may have an orgasm. Why not?

Escorts tend to do prostitution in a nicer way than streetwalkers. They are undoubtedly the "more acceptable face" of prostitution.

I believe if you don't like the way things are you should do your bit to do what you can to change them. And that process really has to begin with how one operates oneself.

Sorry I took so long to reply to this. Work you know.

The first thing is that I was specifically asking about straight guys having gay sex in porn. Solo stuff is completely different. If an adult person is posing naked on their own then their gender & sexual orientation are of no particular consequence. They will be attractive to anyone who finds them attractive.

I've reached my own conclusions about this now. They may be straight in everyday life, but if they are having consensual gay sex including having orgasms, & even if they are only ever gay for pay in front of a camera then they are some kind of bisexual. A Norwegian woman has been speaking to me recently about this. In her language they have two different words for bisexual. She says - "They are biseksuell and bifil. Biseksuell means a man or female that is only sexually attracted to the same sex (they couldn't get emotionally involved in a relationship with someone of the same sex). Bifil is someone who can get physically and emotionally attracted to both men and women."
This makes perfect sense to me. Different shades of bisexuality, denial, sexual insecurity - it's a huge subject. I don't really want to go on about it anymore. We've probably already covered it enough in other posts on this thread.

They say their guys are straight - I should imagine that most of their female customers (obviously they will have male customers as well) would want to believe that these men were more or less straight. With our "eye candy" - we have no idea whether the featured guys are gay or straight, even though they're usually sold by content providers as "gay sets". We pick the sets because we think they look sexy.

We market the guys as being straight mainly because we're trying to differentiate ourselves from gay sites - or sites that are supposed to be for women but feature gay hardcore in them. But of course there's no way of knowing.

We actually got a bit of flak from some porn-loving women on a discussion board for "labelling" the guys, and a lot of them said they didn't mind looking at gay men and gay hardcore. I replied that we were just trying to cater to hetero women and offer the fantasy of an obtainable straight guy.

Anyway, this post is kind of off topic but I thought I'd add my bit of info.

And I have no idea if guys are paid more or less than women if they pose solo... You'd need a photographer to answer that question.

I think that's a little unfair that comparison to say the least cj. but I guess you think I'm being a bit holier than thou or something. If I have to take it to an extreme - it is our business if someone chooses to live their life as active *********, or for that matter a rapist, isn't it? Or do you think we should just let them get on with it?

I can only assume the standard industry pay rates apply with those kinds of hardcore sets, which are that women always get paid more than men, and that if you're new and in off the street, you're probably not paid a huge amount.

We mainly license our content, but we have produced some of our own. After promptly dismissing the ex-Boss model who told us he wouldn't get out of bed for less that $1000 a day, we opted for the two good looking, nice guys who would work relatively cheaply. We did a lot of reassuring that the photos were not for a gay site... that was quite important to them.

No plans to shoot our own hardcore yet - it's just so expensive and easier to license sets at present. But if we did, I believe we'd pay each model equally. Even if the focus was more on the man, I would want to give them both the same amount of money, just in the name of fairness.

Well, from watching Pornicopia a great deal (25%-50%) of actors in gay movies are straight. Hell one guy had his wife on the set with him, she opened the codom package for him. I'm glad that you've been following my threads cj. It doesn't matter too much to me whether you agree with my views or not. Because other people's views are being expressed as well, including yours - so some sort of debate is going on. If there was no interest in the subject then they, and you wouldn't have bothered contributing would they?

Although I'm really crazy busy right now I just had to come back and take this point up. Because it's been mentioned to me before by others & I have just let it go by.

I haven't seen the movie. Are we assuming this man's wife is only interested in supporting her husband in a financial enterprise? Or was she interviewed on camera stating something exactly like this. Perhaps she enjoys seeing her husband having sex with other men. It's common knowledge surely that many men enjoy watching their women "going bi".
