actually, gold level sponsors are not "typically" allowed to hold sponsored parties. this has been a long standing tradition with the phoenix forum - you can check with anyone at the phoenix forum for that information. this is not something i have made up. it's part of the rules of the forum.Quote:

as i understand it, you are NOT allowed to throw as many parties as you want that are sanctioned and recognized by the phoenix forum. anyone can have people back to their rooms as much as they want but the sanctioned and official events ARE closely regulated by the phoenix forum. you can follow up on that one yourself. this is of course part of the appeal of taking a higher level sponsorship in the first place.
you are in accordance with the rules of the phoenix forum - again, you might want to follow up with patrick or sherri or anyone else associated with the phoenix forum for that information. gold level sponsors are not, as i understand it, entitled to throw as many parties as they like that are sanctioned by the phoenix forum. like i said, anyone can throw any amount of parties they like... but this doesn't make them phoenix forum events.Quote:
As sponsors or, would be sponsors of those events are you saying that we are not allowed to hold our events there once we have paid our advertising dollars?
i have no idea what happened in vegas but i did see an empty booth with your name on it. i also know your parties were not held in the host hotel but next door... what that means i have no idea.Quote:
No my business model is to offer the show organizers support by means of sponsorship as we did in Vegas and, as we are doing in Phoenix and as we will be doing in Hollywood and throwing our own events at the shows, just as every other company before us has done and no doubt, will continue to do, including yourselves.
the difference, you see, is that other companies have worked closely with the show organizers and have been sponsors and exhibitors which has allowed them to throw the parties that are recognized and officially sanctioned as show events. this is a simple equation but again, maybe chad from avn could comment on what happened at the past shows. i'm in no position to do so.
oh i know what you're trying to spin this as... the point that is being made here however is that you're trying (seemingly...) to usurp exisiting parties by stationing your parties in conjunction with them and then turning around and saying, look what a great success our parties were. it's a matter of perception... i'm sure your carefully calculated answer has taken that into account already.Quote:
The parties ARE our own.
it was called the 2004 phoenix gay webmaster bash? and it was the topbucks party? i was there and don't recall that at all... odd...Quote:
The Phoenix 2004 Gay Webmaster bash was, in fact called that and was sponsored by TopBucks, AEBN and Stud Money iin their entirity, all three of us worked together extremely closly to pull the event off with great success and, that is what we did.
okay and okay.Quote:
Yes and yes.
of course... so you are telling me that if we go back through every picture and record for that party that we will see the words 2004 phoenix gay webmaster bash all over it? i'm sorry man, i was there and i just don't recall that -- nothing to say my memory hasn't failed me but i really have no recollection of the term gaywebmaster bash being used before the last avn show.Quote:
The Phoenix Gay Webmaster Bash was just that, a Gay Webmaster Bash event organized by three companies who work and will continue to work very closly with one another.
also, are we still talking about the party that is pictured on your website or some other party that happened somewhere else... maybe i'm misunderstanding what i'm seeing and remembering - stranger things have been known to happen.
again, not as gold level sponsors. you have every right to throw however many parties you want but not as part of the official phoenix forum events.Quote:
Again with the connotations that the Phoenix Gay Webmaster Bash events arent sanctioned by CCBill or The Phoenix Forum, just to clarify Karl, they are, we have every right to throw as many or as few events as we want, being sponsors of the Phoenix Forum.
this is why i upgraded my sponsorship to the platinum level -- because i wanted to bring a party to the webmasters who were in attendance.
but rather than arguing this back and forth let's cut to the chase and get specific-- please tell me now... and RIGHT NOW which sanctioned parties you will be throwing in conjunction with the phoenix forum. don't wait until monday when new deals can be set up... tell us now -- WHICH SANCTIONED PHOENIX FORUM PARTIES ARE YOU HOSTING AS A GOLD SPONSOR THIS YEAR. this will clear the matter up once and for all.
to repeat, the question is... WHICH SANCTIONED PHOENIX FORUM PARTIES ARE YOU HOSTING AS A GOLD SPONSOR THIS YEAR?
the concept of leeching has been described in several posts including my own and in two posts by craig. please re-read those posts for more information.Quote:
How am i leeching when we are sponsoring the Phoenix Forum too? I just dont think you are understanding the fact that we, as a company, actually ARE sponsoring the Phoenix Forum, you have seen the Gay Webmaster Bash button on the Phoenix Forum website right? That is a pad sponsorship.
again, please note the tone of your post. you are combative and are using the term gay mafia (for the third time) to connote some kind of massive conspiracy that you are trying to unearth. please be as specific as possible... forget your habit of inference - be specific -- WHO IS THE GAY MAFIA YOU SPEAK OF? AND HOW HAS ANY MEMBER OF THE "GAY MAFIA" UNDERMINED THEIR OWN CREDIBILITY AS IT RELATES TO THIS OR ANY DISCUSSION?Quote:
I really dont have to undermine the perceived credibility of anyone in the gay mafia, they do a very good job of that themselves.
instead of hinting at possible issues be a man and step up to the plate and make your accusations. you can't deflect attention away from simple questions that are being asked of you by suggesting that other people are not credible. this just doesn't cut it. period.
you see, you interchanged the word "affect" and "interfere" with the two statements. i never said your actions were interfering with me... they are not affecting me. subtle changes to language does not an arugument make.Quote:
Im glad to hear that Kal, just as nothing you do can interfere with our business model, no matter how hard you try.
you follow this statement up by adding "no matter how hard i try" -- again please be specific - HOW AM I DELIBERATELY TRYING TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR BUSINESS MODEL?? you are making the inference now back it up with a concrete example... as i see it i'm only supporting a friend and following up with questions that many people (maybe even people in the gay mafia) are dying to ask.
well good... :-)Quote:
I only saw two in total so thats not to bad ;)
to sum up, the three questions that need to be answered as a result of your last post are:
1) WHICH SANCTIONED / FORMALLY APPROVED PHOENIX FORUM PARTIES ARE YOU HOSTING AS A GOLD SPONSOR THIS YEAR? THIS NEEDS TO BE ANSWERED BEFORE MONDAY AS YOU ARE CLAIMING THAT YOUR PLANS ARE ALL IN STONE AND THAT ALL OF YOUR PLANS HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE. IF THE TRUTH IS THAT YOUR EVENTS ARE NOT YET FULLY SANCTIONED AND PLANNED THEN JUST SAY SO... IT'S NOT REALLY THE END OF THE WORLD.
2) WHO IS THE GAY MAFIA YOU SPEAK OF? AND HOW HAS ANY MEMBER OF THE "GAY MAFIA" UNDERMINED THEIR OWN CREDIBILITY AS IT RELATES TO THIS OR ANY DISCUSSION? PLEASE GIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF THIS GAY MAFIA UNDERMINING THEIR OWN CREDIBILITY.
3) HOW AM I DELIBERATELY TRYING TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR BUSINESS MODEL? PLEASE GIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF HOW I HAVE DELIBERATELY ATTEMPTED TO INTERFERE WITH YOUR BUSINESS MODEL. WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS MODEL?
