In looking at your site in your profile, http://www.bel-ami-films.co.uk/ , there are a couple things worth mentioning...
1. It's awesome that you're obviously so fond of Bel Ami movies with a cool site dedicated to them.
2. Partner approval would probably hinge alot on the assurance the site would actually promote BelAmi's membership website, as opposed to 3rd party distributors and sellers of Bel Ami's movies.
Also, I think you'd definitely be interested in some upcoming Bel Ami affiliate programs. 1st, there's Bel Ami's video sales affiliate program where webmasters will be able to have content-rich, customized shopping catalogues of all of Bel Ami's movies for mail order. We provide the content, the set up, the product, and all the work, really. All affiliates have to do is find a home on their website for it, be able to brand and customize it to their look and site, and then get 15% (tentative at this point but that's what we're looking at right now) of all sales generated.
There's also upcoming Bel Ami Video-On-Demand affiliate program that I'll be sure to mention here when it's up and running. We'll be offering webmasters 70% commissions on all sales they generate. 70%! Not only on initial sales but any sale from any member you refer, for as long as they keep buying.
Bel Ami has worked extremely hard to develop the entire VOD affiliate structure on their own and is providing all the content themselves. We're not going through any of the big 3rd party VOD providers. So that means that by not using a 3rd party, we've freed up the 35% that 3rd party would normally take and are offering it to webmasters. Should be awesome.
Might I suggest as well, since you have a site dedicated to Bel Ami's films, you check out http://www.belamipromo.com .
Not only with BelAmi's membership site, but when the VOD and product sales affiliate programs are launched, BelAmiPromo.com could be an awesome tool for you to promote the entire family of Bel Ami's sites with free content, model and movie profiles, image galleries, the material complimenting BelAmiCash.com's promo material, and percentages to be earned throughout :)
the only problem with this is 90% of my traffic is from the UK and as your stores are based in the US this does put people off from buying the films when they see the prices displayed with a $ sign.
I was hoping to be able to promote either VOD or access to membership photos but if it is that a condition would be that I would have to move away from my existing film distribution affiliates then I would have to reject the terms from Bel Ami, which would be a great shame as I of my sites rank very well for Bel Ami search terms
The online movie sales through Bel Ami's upcoming product affiliate program will be based out of Europe. It's actually a hassle for Bel Ami as well to run everything through dollars (as I'm sure you can imagine... paying your employees in Euros while making your income in dollars while the US dollar continually gets weaker? No fun at all).
So when the mail order affiliate program comes out, that'll go through Bel Ami itself and through their European distribution.
The affiliate programs all are set up to be able to work entirely alone or together.
Which is to say you can promote the membership site alone.
Or the VOD alone.
Or the mail order alone.
Or all three or any two. Whatever. So you're not required to drop anything in order to offer anything else.
The concern would just be using the free content provided through BelAmiCash.com and BelAmiPromo.com to promote something other than the programs the content is provided for. Know what I mean?

theres the problem, right now I'm already up and running and selling films plus the affiliates I'm using I have an extremely good relationship that pay 25% commission with a 12 month cookie so I would need a very good deal on the table to move away
My concern would be the sites I have are sending traffic now and if Bel Ami are planning the European distribution some time this year this doesn't really help me now. If they insist that I cannot promote another affiliates and theres at same time then I would have to leave it and maybe reconsider this once the European distribution kicks in

Just to point out to folks here...
Because Bel Ami processes with CCBill but doesn't use the CCBill affiliate administration interface and such, the accounts split form is something people have to fill out to ensure you get your payments directly from CCBill.
I mispoke earlier in the thread as to why that form was there so wanted to clear that up.
So if you're signed up with BelAmiCash and what not, be sure to fill out the necessary parts of that form and FAX it to the designated # on the form. Then, Bel Ami fills out their fields, off to CCBill the finished form goes, and then money can be sent directly to webmasters from CCBill for commissions.

When it comes time for the affiliate program for the VOD to be up and ready, I don't see why you can't do that. And definitely 70% commission will make it the best deal around for any program when it comes to VOD. So I'm sure that won't be a problem at all.Quote:

As for the video sales, I'd probably not turn down a 25% commission on a 12month cookie either so wouldn't expect ya to. That's a pretty good deal.
As far as membership site promo goes, it'd take some lookin in to but you should expect word this coming week. Promoting the membership site through BelAmiCash, as I mentioned, is seperate from the video sales and VOD sites. They're not all inclusive, nor are they mutually exclusive. Webmasters can do all or none or one or two in any combo.
The concern though is to be sure material made available through BelAmiCash for the promotion of the membership site was used for that express purpose rather than benefiting instead a 3rd party affiliate program.
Either way though we want to make BelAmiCash available to as many people as possible so are putting time and effort in to considering everyone on an individual basis and assuring the utmost access so you'll hear this week I'm sure. :)

good luck with your affiliate scheme as I can speak from experience that the Bel Ami product does generate good traffic, in fact "Bel Ami" is my top gay searched term, although I can never understand if someone is looking for a DVD why they don't search for "Bel Ami DVDs" but I gave up trying to understand Joe public a long time ago with surfer terms used :wacko:

But yeah we're definitely excited about the 70%. It's one of the benefits - the best one - about not going through a 3rd party to run the VOD setup. That's one whole party that doesn't require a cut. So give 2 cuts to the webmaster! :)
And yeah I hear ya about the Bel Ami traffic. Not just "bel ami" itself but models, movies... it's endless as I'm sure you know. Lukas Ridgeston, Johan Paulik, Ion Davidov, Sebastian Bonnet and endless more... top search engine ranking can mean huge amounts of traffic for those names.

Ultimately it was the domain name of your site that just made it too difficult to offer up approval. Your case was pretty unique.
