Advice on CC Processors please: Paycom?

Hey Ade! It's great seeing you since Ray and I hung out with you at Internext a year ago. Glad to see Menatplay doing so well!

We've been very happy with Paycom since we started using it for bearbound.com

Their service has been exemplary, and the weekly payouts haven't hurt either :)

The only criticism of Paycom would be in the affiliate program. When people sign up for our affiliate program they have commented that the procedure and "coding" is not as simple as say, CCBill.

Other than that I hope they work great for you :)

I'm kinda an expert in this area :) I have been with almost every company and have friends in most of them. Let me first start with a warning about Paycom. Paycom is a very dangerious company to use for your billing, they are in the game stricktly for themselves. They use a very retarded "fraud prevention" system which blocks out at least 25% of what would be a paying customer to your site. I would recommend them least of all billing services. The webmasters that are on there system don't even realize there losing alot of money, inless there smart enough to throw there declines to another provider.

Now CCBill is odviously the biggest, and an expensive option. No complaints about them but remember Ibill used to be the biggest and we know what happened there. CCBill is a target for VISA as we will never be able to predict what will happen next. Thats why I avoid CCBILL.

Verotel is great! They are outside of the USA so they have less trouble with possible VISA attacks, but its still a possiblity and with there high $1500 setup fee most people can't afford them.

Now I'll let you all in on a Gay Secret. The best billing service is Neova.net. Its 75% gay webmasters on there network. Although there less well known they have been around since 1998 working on a more exclusive basis. They offer alot of customizations that you will never receive at any other provider and billing rates at 12%. We switched to them after Ibill went down and we are very happy, although, it always pays to have 2 providers. I would suggest CCBill or Verotel and Neova.net for every webmaster.

Neova is hard to get setup, they don't accept many clients. You usually need a client refferal to get setup and they have no VISA fees. FIll out the setup form on there website and provide a cc number (its to verify identity and handle any fees if you get more chargebacks then transactions). After that contact me and I will send a good word over for you.

Do you know any sites that use neova.net to process? I wouldn't mind promoting some stuff with some other processors, right now most of my stuff is with Paycom and ccbill, a couple with Verotel.

i'm pretty puzzled. i have very different experiences than CBLCasey with paycom, and so do most people i know. paycom usually has a higher percentage of signups and rebills go through than ccbill. i read about this on boards all the time - and i mean daily. i also work for a program with cascading and overall, the program keeps epoch as primary for this very reason.

i believe any processor can turn up the scrub for a site with higher than normal chargebacks or fraud, but overall very close to every cascading program owner i know keeps paycom as primary because of the higher acceptance rate. i read it in threads, and hear it on icq.

I've used Verotel for quite some time now on their Pro Merchant account which gives you your own billing descriptor. I have a 6.7% rate with them. They're in Amsterdam so emailing is a process.. so I always call and get help right away... they also have a live support link you can get help on during business hours. I'm always nervous about processors disappearing so I never recommend anyone though lol

Isn't it strange? Established people in the industry having completely different experiences with these processors? I wish we had 5 reliable companies to choose from.. .maybe some day :)

Seriously though what feedback or reaction have you had to the $1.50 surcharge to members? would you say this has affected signups? im worried it might deter people form signing up.
