Just when this thread was turning positive Madame you had to use such a phrase as "piss off". I know how you feel bout the weather.. sucks when it gets in the way of gardening. I have a ton of stuff to do in the garden and the rain is interfearing with it all. Not to mention my tomatoe and letuce seedling just died because I put fertilizer on them too early :(

Speaking of outside, I went to the store and it took me 5+ minutes to check out a pair of socks. 5 fucking minutes for sock, can you believe it? Some old lady thought she was the only dude on the line and kept yapping and looking for 2 fucking pennies .... sheesh.

If I could have groceries magically appear I'd be going out only to get a tan

Old people do things real slow because they need the attention. Unfortunately, in most societies, our elders are ignored, after a lifetime of service.. so it's the revenge of the silver haired to fuck up the roads, voting, cutting in line, and taking their sweet ass time doing stuff.. it's the circle of life... the elders fuck everything up to get back at the youth, the youth spends their life fixing it until they get older and fuck everything up to get back at the youth :honest:

she wasn't that old ... early 60s ... what's worse is we're all headed in that direction, ina few years someone my age will be saying the same thing about me :)

sad thing is the cashier was a young boy that was slower than she was. Poor thing I thought he was so lazy his hands would come off forcing himself to scan those socks....

Yeah if we're lucky we'll get old I guess. I worked in an old folks home when I was 18.. for six months.. before getting fired for giving my partner a peck goodbye on the cheek in the parking lot.

I'll never forget those people in that building... a lot of good people.. with great stories and amazing lives just being thrown away ... waiting to die. Seems the materialistic people had the most difficulty.. the ones who always used to judge others by what they had and what they looked like.. and now they were old and wrinkled in an old folks home... some couldn't handle it and refused to eat... ok enough .. too many stories to tell and it's dinner time. :francais:

What's it like to be on this earth half a century?

They say that 50 is the new 30 , 60 the new 40 and so on... people are living longer and healthier they say. I've never judged by age.. but I feel for those who do... they're in for a shock as it creeps up on them lol

I got thrown off a volunteer staff at a State run facility, for making pancakes for the residents. It was the weekend after Mother's Day, and so many of those poor old folks didn't have any visitors, so I made a party.

Was one of my shining moments as a caring human being.
Or just an insane one.

Sounds like a shining moment to me! YOu know.. some of those facilities don't like people interfearing with their hard earned recognition.. let alone having residents like a volunteer for being nice! Kind of like the religious people that bring you into their church.... as long as you know your place as the inferior all is well :high:
