Oh thats right we're leaving it up to a bunch of queens to come to a decision!
Dave
[the writer would like to point out, He in no way infers in the above statement that there is anything wrong with being a 'queen' in fact Liz II is one of his all time fav monarchs & Mr. R Seacrest is a personal friend]
How many do usually come to a lunch like this in L.A.?
This is going to turn into the opening discussion from Reservoir Dogs in a minute! :)
I have very high expectations for service when I go out to eat, but only b/cuz I used to be a waiter myself, and I was a GREAT waiter. I was always on top my tables. But of course there were always those nights where you would fuck up, and for those nights, I am also very lenient with wait staff. I know how hard it can be. I tip VERY well, but I also expect them to pay attention to me and be on top of my needs. I hate waiters who just ignore you the whole time you're there. But I am very good at talking to them and making eye contact. Even at the bloody drive-thru at McD's. :)
It's Don Mike's and Paco's fault. They are the ones who turned a lunch invite into a taudry event!
13 years as a bartender in west hollywood....you pick up things in your environment.....
honestly..... it was a natural progression....

Paco, I think for taking your lovely pic away from us for a few days, you need to post a few more. :)
And Ken, being nice to a waiter does not mean accepting shitty service. Everyone has a bad night but if you totally ignore me or don't refill my coffee cup at least twice during a meal, and I don't get my mayo with fries but I see you chatting with the other waitstaff for 20 minutes while my dinner is incomplete, you better believe you're getting a bad tip, if any, from me.
Okay, I have only ever once not left a tip. I've left a dollar or two even with mediorcre service on very rare occasions, but the one time all I ordered was coffee and a piece of pie while my friends had dinner. I got my one cup of coffee, no refills (even though I asked three times) and didn't get my pie the whole meal, then as we were getting up to leave she ran over and plopped it down on the table. If she had at least taken if off the bill I might have given her something but this was absolutely inexcusable. She got a penny from me. Although since my friends tipped her for their own meals, she probably didn't even notice.
