yeah i think this one was a 4th of July special that started yesterday - it worked for me so get yours before it expires!

I don't like their "renewal" pricing. Low teaser rates, and higher renewal rates.

I bought a package last year at $59. It renewed this year at $89. I asked for explanation - and why the "reminder" e-mails did NOT state the price - and got a snotty e-mail with a link to their legal dept.

So I transferred my next renewing domain to my other host/registrar a week before the renewal date..

its their business model, but if you manage your account right you don't run into this problem and can save some good money. For instance, I use godaddy for domains, and I manually renew my domains using a coupon so that I get renewals at $6.99. That's the cheapest pricing I have found for domains and IMHO godaddy offers an extremely reliable, flexible, extensible and secure domain service.

Agreed.

For the last 3-4 years i dont think i have paid more than $7.19 total for a new registration or domain renewal :)

We have 4 accounts at GoDaddy right now, 2 for adult and 2 for mainstream.

We're considering opening another account for domain speculation purposes also.

At the rate I'm adding domains, I may open a few more just for the specials and just move 'em later to one account. $2.19 out the door and it gives me a year for my butt to actually DO something with it :donmike:
