It would seem this isnt going to affect TGP'ers as much as was initially though.
It reads like all TGP owners and submitters have to do is put up a 2257 link on their TGP home page and any submited galleries :)
On the face of it, that is good news :)

I still don't fully understand what this will entail and what people are going to expect to see.
I do expect that it's going to get a little crazy submitting to some tgps in the next little while.
Oh well, I'm working on plans and contingincy plans and what not. :)

If any of the thumbnails that you post on your TGP are sexually explicit, you must put 2257 information, which is YOUR address, and YOU must have copies of all of the records locally for each of those sexually explicit thumbnails, cross referenced.

TGP = Thumbnail Gallery Post
MGP = Movie Gallery Post
A surfer arrives at a site like Cumsoda which is a page of thumbnails. Each one of those thumbnails leads to a gallery that was submitted to Cumsoda by a webmaster like you and me. It's a way that you get lots of free-riding, looking-for-free-porn surfers to your site. Apparently it's all the rage. I think it largely makes your site look like Poland in 1945 when the Nazis left: there's a big gigantic mess and a couple of Nazis bought a potato on their way out.

You're a secondary producer under the regulations -- you are publishing by having a tgp gallery. Thus you must post/link to the required information on your business and the pictures/videos you have published on the net - - for each gallery!!Quote:

I agree that TGP owners who use submitted thumbnails will be responsible for secondary-producer recordkeeping. So, of the US TGP owners who use submitted thumbnails, are any of you thinking of switching to text-only links or to only nonsexually-explicit thumbnails?
considering that in most cases, the tgp webmaster has no real idea of where the images on the galleries came from, or the age of the models, it wouldn't be amazing if they accidentally posted images that were not legal.
how do you know if a cute twink with an adorable boyish face is 18 without seeing i.d.?

As a thumbnail post owner, if I do 30 new sexually explicit thumbnails a day, then I must get 30 sets of documents a day for the thumbs and keep them as records. And list myself as custodian.
I understand the concern about the custodian of record address being linked in so many places. I currently have 2257 links (or just the URL address without it being linked) on many pages, but I average only 2 visits a day to my two 2257 pages, and I bet many of those visits are search engine spiders. So 2257 pages do not generate much interest.Quote:

it's more than a nightmare - ounique i.d.'s (like most content providers) are partly blacked out, and the law doesn't allow blacked out addresses. i haven't heard that they are planning to give out all new i.d. with the addresses - have you?
