I have been having a hard time finding straight models lately for our site StraightBoysJerkOff.com. I have tried newspapers, CraigsList, BackPage, Yahoo chat rooms. Anything I am missing? I am also paying current models $100 for any referrals of models we shoot. I haven't tried the clubs yet and I know AJ said that was a good place. I am thinking of hiring a really hot girl to hit the colleges. Any suggestions?

He's right, hiring a sexy woman will get you more hot models for cheap than you can imagine. It's essential to have a female photographer in the straight boy market, if you want to capture the widest range of guys. Other than that, they seem to respond to the butch jock type of guy the best, "I've done well with this, I'm completely comfortable with it, it's great, and I'm letting you in on it too" is how you want to present it. I mean, not verbatum but that's how you want to come off. If it seems pervy, wierd, abnormal, or uncomfortable in any way, only a certain type of guy will respond.

Mark, I have had the "honor" of listening and watching in (surreptuously!) on Tim's interviews with boys, and the man is simply a magician.
He could write down step by step what he does, walk you through it and I still doubt that anyone could do things as intuitively as he does.
He is training JesseJ and Jesse is coming along VERY well, but he is learning daily from the master.
There is no magic bullet - he advertises every week in the same places, interviews at the same places and treats the boys so well that he even gets now existing boys introducing their surf club and football mates to Tim directly to make some cash !!! And these ARE straight guys ! More than 80% of our boys are !
And, contrary to popular belief, it is NOT all about the money. Some of you guys would crap yourselves if you knew what he pays sometimes for the quality he gets !!!
We are getting there with our plans to shoot and supply content through CuriousCash, but Tim would be better placed to answer the when and how on that.

GIRLS are the way to go frankly. And using Craiglist WISELY can definitely rope some goodies in in an efficient manner (time wise).

I really wish we could have, I tried to explain things to him but he kept being mean, and getting meaner. I still have no idea whats up with that. I put a ton of work into curiouscash's affiliate tools and a site to promote them, the last thing I wanted was to have my account deleted and for CTB to hate me. The more I said sorry to him about not updating their FHG list I made for them, the more he goes off on me, so I totally give up.
Once again I put my big foot in my mouth though, sorry Tim I don't mean any disrespect to your program or the huge amount of work you put into it. I'm just frustrated with every attempt I made to apoligize and explain getting met with attacks and name calling.

something you might try is writing a RADICALLY different ad for each of your model sources. i wrote a 100% different ad for craigslist, although it basically advertised for the same thing, and got 90% new models who hadn't answered the other ad. the key to getting different models seemed to be using the word video in the headline in one ad, and not using it in another.
also you can post new casting calls on onemodelplace regularly with dates and modeling requirements, and changing the headline and ad there has the same effect as with craigslist.
a lot of models we have worked with are afraid of appearing on a "gay" site, so if you make the site seem - WITHOUT saying so - like this site is primarily for women, have a woman talk to them initially, and keep men out of the picture as much as possible, you'll have a different crowd.

You need to approach guys directly (whether it's yourself or scouts). This approach is really effective. But, straight guys also need to be able to relate to the scout who's approaching him. I think the key is to be on top of your scouts and motivate them to deliver--but that can also be alot of work in itself. So, if you're willing to approach guys yourself, totally do it! I hate that part (especially when it's for porn vs. just a nude pic shoot), but it does work if you you do it right. Practice makes perfect!
90% of our guys are straight. Common things that come up wiht them are if it's str8 porn, if there'll be any girls around, etc... We try to curb the subject of it being primarily a gay audience but when that becomes hard to do (due to endless questions on their part), we resort to $$$ motivation. And, it usually works... Pay 'em enough and they'll seriously drop their pants! THey may say it's not $$ related (and, this is not always fool proof) but after talking with so many guys after the shoots, it's so obvious that it is. So, if you're dealing with a hot guy who'll = big sales, consider paying more...
I'd say keep your current system in place (it may--actually probably will--turn around and surprise you), definitely approach guys or have your scouts do it and persist daily.

Thanks for the great response. I have been looking for a female scout but I am going to try harder to find one. Once I have one in place I really think that will help alot.
As for CraigList it is a very busy site and the url is http://www.craigslist.org and backpage is at http://www.backpage.com but they are only avaliable in certain cities.
