For the hosting companies you can simply start one "Spam me" thread.
Hosting providers usually have their representatives on boards, so you'll have dozen of links in no time.
There are many cheap and reliable companies out there.
I can recommend one, www.serverprovider.com
This will be enough to get you started. But once you'll start growing they might offer you different solutions upto your own dedicated server.
Good luck!
Hi Shima what is a good TGP Gallery software AutoGallery Sql is that good or is there better one i don't want to spend too much money at first to get started
What kind of TGP are you wanting to start, a text only one or a thumbnail preview one?Quote:

I would highly recommend jmbsoft's autogallery sql, its an affordable, professional script with excellent ongoing support and it works really well too. For hosting, if you are looking for the cheapo option then I can't help you there, but if you want a quality host hit me up and we can discuss your needs and put you on a good package that will grow with your site and I will do all the installation work of AGS for you too.

Wow, what a great offer. :sun:Quote:

But I bet that most people use Comus Thumbs anyway.

Its free version has 2% skim. Check it out.
it's not free cost 295$
you right there is a trial version
free versions of these scripts (both the jmb and the comus ones) are notoriously bad for various reasons. I highly recommend spending a bit of money and purchasing a paid script right away.

Define "BAD" please. Out of curiosity.
I'll echo Luke's comments that you shouldn't go with the free version. It's not worth the pain.
Any script that skims your traffic without you deciding where the skim goes is a lousy idea. It doesn't help you out and when the skims start going to places that you wouldn't link to or approve as a gallery submission it's going to cause you all sorts of trouble.
And free scripts typically get no tech support; you're on your own.
Take Luke up he's an excellent webhost.
i'am with Luke now he was so great he install my autogallery sql for me .. what a great host
i highler recommend anyone who need some hosting space Luke is the one for you..
Okay..I'm a newbie with TGP also.
I see on JMB software both AutoGallery SQL and TGP Rotator and AutoGallery Pro.
What really is the difference.
If I'm only looking for basic TGP for mostly my own photos but I would like to have some exchanges...what one do I get?
They all sound close to each other.
Steven
autogallery pro is a file based tgp while autogallery sql is a database based tgp script. The main difference is with performance, when you start to add a lot of galleries or if you have loads of submits, pages, etc... Plus I believe AGS has some other neat features like bulk gallery imports.
TGP Rotator on the other hand is built mainly for people wanting to run a "fake" tgp which is filled only with thier own galleries and free hosted galleries, therefore it has no ability to accept galleries and it also cuts out quite a few other features.
The best option is AGS, followed by AGP then TGPRotator. You can also get a full breakdown of all features on the jmbsoft site.
cheers,
Luke
Luke,
Thanks for the summary.
That helps and give me a direction.

Well done Pierre!
I've done my private TGP with AGP. Also with about 8,000 hits per day, AGP is running very well. (For sure, you need a good webhost. I just switched to chilihost and I am very happy with! :cheese: )
You can find it on:

Have much success!
We recently moved all our sites to chilihost and I couldn't be happier with them. Two Thumbs Up.
As for TGP starters, some websites give you starter packages, including simple website templates. Our site (Shameless plug) wolffpaccash.com is designed just for people who want to do TGPs with our content.
There are others as well. Perhaps they will post here for you.
good luck!

Hey pierrefitch,
Suprisingly enough, I just came of a review on AutoGallery SQL onto here to check what people were using for TGP.
Hows AutoGallery going for ya? and bad points?
