Can someone give me more info how a Canadian webmaster can add Visa to their existing CCBill account.
I recall a post a few weeks ago was dealing with this subject but I couldn't find it.
My partner in the US will sponsor my account and/or act as a principal.

lame - and wrong.
ccbill and epoch are the two best processors and they have to follow visa us regulations. if they DIDN'T follow visa regulations, they wouldn't be able to process visa and would go out of business.
it really doesn't matter how much money you have to spend - if you don't follow visa regs, you are fucked.

the last 5 processors who said they found visa loopholes went out of business. i processed with 2 of them.
and without visa, you are completely fucked.
of the current processors, it's epoch and ccbill that are flexible enough to do everything most webmasters want to do. verotel can't touch them that way and their stats blow dog.

maxpower, you are so far out on limb here.
VISA USA regulations state that in order to accept VISA on our sites, we Canadian webmasters must have a corporate US presence, not just a mail drop, but a U.S. citizen who will be responsible for the funds and filing of taxes. I believe this regulation was adopted out of your U.S. Patriot Act.
Also, Canada falls under VISA USA and must abide by their regulations.
So, Canadians have two options: (1) setting up a U.S. corporation or (2) setting up an off-shore corporation and processing through Europe.
This is not an issue of ccbill or Paycom being pissy or difficult. I'm sure they want Canadian webmasters's money just as much as anyone elses.

I don’t hate or really blame CCBill or Epoch much, nor do I think that verotel should be used as a persons long term single processor, but it is a way to get around some of the problem this guy faces with his small website processing issues. I am also sure there are some really shady processors out side the US but I would not say that about verotel they are about the 3rd largest company of that type in the world.Quote:

it's obvious you haven't done a search but i'll be nice and recap what i've said in other threads.
it's easy and fast to set up a u.s. corporation - my friend did it to work with epoch. first you incorporate, then you get a tax i.d. number. that's it. i'd suggest a u.s. bank account, too - he got his with a canadian bank that offers u.s. accounts.
he went to http://www.corporate.com/ to incorporate and it was quick and easy (took less than 20 minutes) and not too expensive. a nevada corporation is good for 2 reasons that i know of:
1. nevada does not require that you be there and hold corporate meetings as other states do
2. nevada is a fairly porn friendly state.

actually frank didn't have to pay those fees, chad. perhaps they were included.
You may have come across one of the few honest places. That form is required post-filing, usually 2 weeks after the docs come back from the NV secretary of state. The company you used may have actually included that fee up front and handled it for you.Quote:

PERFECT. Thanks everyone. I had done a search in the forums but the laws in the US seem to be changing on a daily basis lately. A couple of months ago Canadians weren't even going to be able to FLY OVER the US without going through American customs at the airport. Luckily they changed that at the last minute.
I'm going to go through the incorporation process then and I'll report my results here. Hopefully that will help someone else. Thanks.
One other alternative to consider rather than incorporating in the US..
Why not setup a company in Europe?
It costs about the same and, you dont get to worry about Visa fees.

true - i hear ccbill eu is pretty good.
or just go with verotel for now. they may not be my favorite processor, but they do seem to have a long track record of paying.
