Ccbill is the word “Boy” banned

I have heard allot of talk about banning the word “boy” and people going to prison and very thing else for using it. I was just wondering if this is true, or BS like it sounds, and also if the word boy is banned will the word girl be banned as well as teen, twink, and a countless other words that one could use to describe anyone under 26 or so. I only named Ccbill because you are the largest US processor, and I would like to see the direction you see this going in, I am not talking about promoting CP sites or illegal content only a word. UGAS even let you use the word “boy” in the tittle of sites I send them, and I could not think of a more by the “book” company. :center:

They are covering their asses and I can't blame them. I agree girl should be on the list too if it isn't just like lolita it does denote underage. Even if they aren't it just has too much potential problems for them. For example, they won't process for any diaper fetish sites. Now, adult babies have nothing at all to do with actual kids but I assume they just don't want the trouble.

From what I know they will let you use boy in the tittle, just not underage people, or a real suggestion of CP. I could name a 1000 gay sites that use Ccbill that have the word boy in the tittle

my merchant account won't let me use "boy" in a lot of our stuff... nor will my distributor let me use the word "boy" in a title or on a box cover. :rolleyes:

That is really messed up, I just wonder if the same applies to the word “girl” some how I really do not think so :hmmph:

CCBill does have many words that we search for that could cause a violation to our Acceptable Use Policy however many times particular words or phrases may not be considered a violation based on how they are being used. So are you saying the word is not banned only phrases like little boys, young boys, high school boys, ECT but the word boy is ok as long as its used properly like Twinkboysfeet.com I would like my sites acceptable by you guys, but I make twink sites and its really hard not to use that word, I do not want to allude to having underage people, only legal guys 18-26 or so.

This is not the first time this has happened. Typically, when our industry is under attack (such as now), we all start to hunker down some.

I've found CCBill's compliance group to be very reasonable in looking at the context for use of a word. "hot very young boys" would not be OK, while "Boys from the hood" would be fine.

well the only fraises I am worried about are like “twink boys” very stranded, like in the url twinkboysfeet.com if even this simple term is banned it opens all kind of questions for me. Getting clarification on this is like pulling teeth with these people, that is not a good sign if you ask me. It isn't law, it's Visa (or Mastercard) regulations that matter here. Visa and Mastercard are free at any time to restrict the use of any words, and that could happen...

As for getting answers from CCBill, dunno who you're speaking to there, but I've found them to be exceptionally helpful and it should not be difficult to email someone in compliance and just ask. If you say "what can't I use" they may not be able to give you a comprehensive list, but if you describe what you're trying to do, I'm sure they will be helpful.

As to the word "twink"... well, ccbill processes for twinks.com, so I'm guessing that won't be an issue.

well ya they do boysfeet.com too, but this chick :chicken: said every thing changed at the start of this year and no new sites can have that word. I know that might not sound like a big deal if you all ready have a domain with that word listed, but really if it is true how long do you think it will take for them to turn around and start removing your sites with that word in their domains regardless of how long you have been with them. That might sound paranoid, but that is how things seem to work sometimes, and then what's next.

Oh well, I guess I will cross that bridge when I get their, I personally am not going to breaks any laws, but Visa regulations are different I know how to get around that :juggle:

No no no no no, cross the bridge BEFORE you get there - before you have your designers work on the design for a specific domain, before you buy domains preferably...

Sean, asking first could maybe save you some bucks redoing/redesigning the design/layout and you can invest in other things.

Well that was really what I was talking about, before I get a designer, to start working on the dadsboys.com site or really even the twinkboysfeet.com site I will make sure the urls are ok, but to tell the truth I have many sites to do first, and would need to get the content to fill the site before I am going to get to worried about the name. I can see some problems with the dadsboys.com thing, but to tell the truth if a processor will not let me call a site twinkboysfeet.com I will have to think long and hard about keeping them.

I'm small potatoes compared to everyone else weighing in on this topic but I thought I would share my experience launching my dvd site AceBoys in Q4 2005.

Both the Merchant Bank and CC processor completed a review of my site. I had to eliminate certain key words on my product pages and replace them with tems like "college aged" and "Jock". But not once did they mention the fact that I had the term BOY in my domain name.

In addition to passing muster with the Banks, I applied for a membership with the ASACP who also conducted a review of my site and approved my membership. It's my understanding that I am currently in full compliance of the ASACP User Agreement with my current domain name.

Finally, my attorney never raised a flag about my domain name either. I'm going to circle back with ASACP and my Attorney and get their thoughts and will let you know what i learn. :mental:

I think they are just going after us with this because its about the only thing they can get and support for “think about the children BS” its the same old story. If Ccbill is going to block this word for new sites, then I will assure you they will soon come back and do the same with well established sites next, as well as keep adding new words to this list, until this policy is removed totally. This just gives the porn hatters a foothold, and trust me they will push this as far as they can. If I was you I might think about having a secondary processor in place, and it would be nice if Ccbill will let you transfer current members to another processor when they do force you to stop using that word, but sure that will not happen at all. With all the money we provide to Ccbill, and visa I would think they would be more willing to have our back, but they just sound spineless to me. :hmmph:

I do not think their will be a law against it man, but visa and some processor my refuse to work with you is all. I really worry this could be just the beginning, and this shows how fast they will sell you ass down the river to cover theirs in a heartbeat! Yet us know what they say man though :)

there's nothing new here. my lawyer told us in 1998 to stop using the word teen unless we were using a qualifier, and to stop using the word young pretty much at all.

college boys live is a name that establishes that the boys are of normal legal age because most people in college are over 18.

ccbill has no choice but to protect their business and our industry by avoiding very common phrases like "very young teen boys" that i see used all the time. if visa shuts ccbill down, the adult industry is fucked - don't you want and expect your processors to protect YOUR business by complying with visa? after all, without visa you lose most of your sales.

Its not fraises like "very young teen boys" that worries me personally, its when they are now wanting to have banned fraises like “twink boys” “frat boys” banned. See it starts with “young, and teen”, now it moves to “boy” what’s next? I do not think its Visa so much, I think its the US gov. they are caving in too, over seas companies use the same visa company, and have non of those restrictions. If I was you guys I would keep a secondary processor available, this is not going to stop, it is going to get worse, and at what point are you going to get feed up is the real question. :notsure: Personally again, I draw the line at “twink boys”

Frankly if VISA and MC decide to ban any word, it really isn't going to make a hill of beans difference how many cc processors you sign up for. They all HAVE TO follow the rules set down by the credit card companies or lose their ability to process those companies cards.

Fact is that if you want to accept VISA, MC, DISCOVER, or any credit card, you need to follow their rules. Plain and simple, irrespective of your take or opinion. Only choice you have is to either follow their rules and accept their cards for payment, or not take them. :coffee:

Well see they do not have the same rules over seas, even though they are the same company. If every processor had the same rules their would be not point, but that is not how it really is, only the US based processors are doing this. Visa does not care about some stupid words they care about what the US gov. thinks in US companies, and what over seas Gov. think their. :penny:

Point isn't what are other countries doing or not doing. You are USA based, operate and hosted in the USA. You are subject to your own countries regulations, whether you like it or not. If you can work around it by somehow getting European processing, fine... there is your answer then, but until you do, you are stuck with the rules in your country.

Well man I have had about enough arguing for one day, but I am not hosted in the US, nor is my processor in the US, but as hopefully my site grows I would like to be able to use Ccbills affiliate program features. If I am force to say with another one I will have to look for a better add on affiliate program stats system for them. I really do not think I would have my sites ever hosted in the US just cuzz of coast mainly, and if a law is passed that says I can not use a word I will not do it.

You may not be hosted or process here, but you are physically in the US. And that's what matters. Unless you have the time, money, and really good representation to properly establish and maintain a non-US entity, complete with employees who live and work in the country where that company is domiciled, the ruse won't get you anywhere. The Feds follow the money... this is what so many people don't seem to get. Hosting outside the US to avoid US laws makes no difference whatsoever (with the possible exception of making it a little more inconvenient for them to seize your servers.)

There used to be a crapload of pretty large processors based here who claimed they were somewhere else as an excuse to get around the Visa US policies. How many of those are left? None. All that's left now are a couple of small off-brand processors that probably aren't big enough to have come under Visa scrutiny yet.

So... best to be fully compliant in every way, and not try to play the "offshore" game to try and dodge the rules if you want to be a long term player.

I do not want to break and laws just use words like “twink boys” in my sites, I do not think that will ever break a law, but I do understand what you are saying. But to tell the truth I have 3 members sites to get up and going before I will even have to worry about my twinkboysfeet.com site so I have time to worry about all that in the future. :pimp:
