I am going to try something new today, I am going to post some pics that I would like more info on “like where I can get them” I am sure I will be posting allot that are exclusive to certain sites but that will just show my ignorance on this issue. If you happen to know any of the studios these guys are from please let me know.

Bryan at Boycrush shoots all his own content, which is exclusive to him. One of the models in that pic has also worked for us. I think you've pretty much identified most of the brokers, etc of cute twink guy content :)

MOST big twink sites either shoot their own content or have photographers around the world shoot exclusively for them. It's what makes viewers come back month after month. I know the guys that run boy orgasm deal with quite a few photographers that shoot just for them.
That's the main hurdle a twink site faces - stiff competition and a high price for content that retains. Almost all the other content has been in countless avs sites etc.

I think you'll notice from that list, a lot of those people who aren't around anymore tried to get by charging bargain basement prices. Where are they now? And who will their clients end up buying from now? :)
Also, most photographers out there shoot garbage. I've worked for years, and years, and years to educate myself in photography. Photographic style is something that takes years to develop, and isn't something you can simply buy.
Buying from the cheapest photographer on the block isn't a smart move. If you're paying $800 for 12 sets of content, I can almost guarantee it won't be anywhere near the quality that I provide. And it won't have the same impact on your surfers, either.

Well I am not knocking, what you are doing or anything I know you have to pay the rent too, I also know am not really experienced with all the photography stuff. Its just right now that would not be the best way to spend my money. The reason I am changing my system over so much is so I will have time to create my own content and expand the non exclusive movies and videos I have. I know at first it will take me longer to do shots and I will have to edit the videos and take a huge amount of pics to get the once I need, but that said in the end I will have real exclusive content, and not just new pics of known models. Just like you I have to be cost effective in what I do, and making a profit on the content is by far the most important thing.
All this said about my inexperience with photography, I do know about color, themes, and what viewers want. It just seems to me that if I am going to invest so much, it would be best if I want real exclusive content to spend the time to learn the ins and outs of it myself. :signhere:

OK I really hate to get of my own theme here, and do not want to get dragged down into public arguments, but can some point towards a photographer that could make me a cheap exclusive solo set. I just want one or so to start off with so I can say I have exclusive content in my tour, before they finish the tour and I have to change it later on when I get more serious about this exclusive stuff.

Forget about saying you have exclusive when you only want to buy 1 set. That won't get you anywhere, and you'll only end up pissing people off. I'll lay it out for you, and tell you what your costs will be. You'll need to spend at least $30k-$100k to start out in the paysite business, and that's regardless of whether you shoot the content yourself or hire someone to shoot it for you. On top of that, you'll need money to hold you over while you continue to add content before you break even from month to month on what you're spending on content. Or else you'll lose the member base you started out with, before you even break even. This could mean that you spend an extra $30k in the process.
It's unlikely you'll get very far spending less. If you're tapped financially before you get going, my best advice is to simply stop spending until you have some serious money to invest.
Ever heard of the term "going out with a bang"? Well, this would be an example of "going out with a fizzle".
i disagree.
i know LOTS of people who started successful sites for less - but they knew what they were doing. we used to have an amateur jackoff site and we paid the amateurs between $50 and $100 for a brief interview and jackoff. we did our own shooting and editing so there were no other costs. obviously 25 videos with hi rez stills is enough to get started, so total out of pocket costs were under $2500.
i also know plenty of people who started with bought content. they simply knew what they were doing - they considered niche carefully from what was available and came up with some winning sites for around $5000 a piece.
but what you do need is knowledge. without understanding what quality and size of pics and videos are required, without going into an effective niche or knowing HOW to niche, and without having content that is highly relevant and also not grossly overexposed, you need to spend a lot more to get started and still risk total failure.
knowledge is more important than money - i worked with one guy who spent over $150,000 and went out of business and another who spent over $120,000 and totally failed. how much money you spend is no guarantee of success.
of course the more common a niche and your content is, the more content you need and the more expensive to get started.

well, i personally know and work with several successful programs that spent $5000 or less per site to get started so the costs you listed seem excessive to me. i know a large number of successful programs that spend under $15,000 per site including exclusive amateur content or solo content.
sure, there are guys who shoot magazine pro quality content, but most niches don't require them - and in some situations they would harm rather than help a site.
and max, if you don't invest in your business, don't expect much from it.
