pierre - if you are offering a one-time 100% payout through ccbill, you'll have to charge more than $29.95 to pay $30 per join - you'd have to charge i think $34.95 to cover the cost of ccbill processing and you would have to pay all processing fees, which you would have to do in your ccbill admin.
is this price and option what you are doing?

With Ccbill Max, and you offer Pay Per Signup you need to show them the cash somehow. If you have a ton of members already and decide to do persignup they use to allow you to use that revenue that you already had as collateral. A new program that paid say $30 on a $5 trial, you need to show them the money. they wont wait until your rebills cover webmaster payouts.Quote:

Bass, he can do the $30 a join on a 29.95 signup. If his retention is there. And Ccbill oks it. He wont make it in month 1. I am sure they asked him to deposit money. Or they feel comfortable. If that's what you are thinking. Ccbill monitors their paypersignup webmasters very closely.

I was paying $25 on a $15 membership. You just need to show them some cash.
What worries me is the one time $35
His profit potential is way to low.
This is one of the first CCbill programs that I am actually excited about.

people here will speculate. but If you have a paysite and are grossing 5k a month already and have a track record. It's beter than you just going in with no memebrs and saying I wanna do a persignup.
pierre started with ccbill today. he doesn't yet know what his retention will be with them, and since mvc made cancelling more difficult, this may affect his rentention.
since he's live twice a week, i expect he'll do okay, but i think he should have some numbers before he offers out of pocket money per signup.

Not everyone on the GWW Community has the same skill sets as you do yet, you treat everyone like they do, we have a vast mix of community members ranging from newer webmasters who, really shouldnt be launching their own paysites yet to webmasters who have been doing this for years who still dont have their own sites.

Just because PPS works for you, that doesnt mean it works for everyone and, id hazard a guess that when you launch your 'program' whenever its due, you will begin to see how much the industry has changed in the last 2 years while you have been gone, it hasnt sat around waiting for you, the dynamics of the industry have changed, it isnt just about how much you pay affiliates these days.
You really do seem to be under the impression that during the last 2 years while you were off playing poker that the industry stood still, trust me, it hasnt, it has evolved, its dynamics have changed... Drastically and, i really do feel you will be in for a rude awakening when you launch your program and finally realize this.
As i mentioned in another thread, programs come and go everyday, PPS programs launch on an almost daily basis, they are nothing new, we've seen them all before and, we'll continue to see them.
PPS isnt the be-all and end-all of running a successful program that you seem to be under the impression it is, it might have been 2 years ago but, i guarantee you, it isnt today.
Sorry if this post comes off as being confrontational, it really isnt meant to, im just starting to get a little frustrated (as i know some others are) at your constant 'my way or the highway' definitive way of doing things. Especially when your way isnt the correct way for an awful lot of people on GWW.
As im sure Gary would have told you a couple of years ago, just because something works for you, that is no guarantee it will work for me and vice-versa.

But in all honestly a $30 webmaster signup to a $30 membership is not a TRUE PPS model. And the risk is not as bad as it MAY seem.
A true PPS model is $30 to a $4.95 ish trial.

I would rather see him drop the $30 PPS than raise the price to $35.
MAYBE even Lee has enough sense to know that once you hit the $30 bracket signups drop considerably.

Total net divided by number of signups = conseravtive cost per member as many are still going to recur. Having only two weeks stats makes no difference.

Your risk on a $30 PPS to a $30 Join is very small. Especially, if you have that retention. YOU HAVE A QUALITY PRODUCT. And I am sure you will have many people that will support you along the way.
My concern is the $35 one time. That is risky for you. Better to go multi month.

Its not about two weeks man. You take Total net and divide by total members that have signed up (you don't even care if they are still there) and that gives you an idea of the value of a memeber.Quote:

Retention has nothing to do with showing two weeks of data. It is total net divided by members. Actually I am more looking at the value of each member. And even this is a conservative figure as the members are still renewing. i don't care what his last two weeks show. I am looking at the big picture.Quote:

Ultimately any decision is up to that webmaster. You asked in a thread are you a decision maker or a marketer. I told my employee the only "wrong" decison you can make is "NO" decision.
