I just picked it up. Is it a good name?

And soemthing weird I picked up a domain name that I was looking at every month. It just became available (its another name). i guess there is an upside when webmasters fail.

The domain I want is shoothard.com

I knew the guy that owned it. Anyone have idea on how i should appraoch getting it. it's worth a lot for me for branding a site I want to do. I know - NO SE KEY WORD! Thats not my goal though.

Its like another domain name I have - amateurjoe.com

A great paysite when I was running it. And easily branded. Sometimes branding is better than SE in my opinion.

I am sure you could make a site with any name and if it looks good enough you can make money, but I would not pick that name. Personally I think you might do better with a frat site than a twink site to tell the truth you sound like you have a problem with guys 18-21 and twinks are 20-26 sometimes a bit younger. Teen Boy site and even Twink sites are about really young thin cute white guys normally, the key word is Young a word I know you have problems with. I will sell you FRAT HUNK .COM for 3000$ if ya want :) Personally I think that URL is better than the very large FRAT MEN .COM is in a few ways. After all when searching for frat stuff how many people type FRAT MEN they would be more likely to Use the Words Frat and Hunk than that if they knew nothing about either sites. And I know you would be more comfortable with this Frat stuff

As far as shoothard.com if you really want it and do not want to get fucked on it, I could casually ask about them about the domain, and maybe any others they might have. Do not sound like you really care, and do not take their first offer. Its a ok URL but I would not think they have a line of people wanting it so you can get it cheap. Maybe make it sound like you are going to get some of the other URL they have later on “another good reason why to ask about other URL they have” so they will think they are going to make more by cutting you a deal on this one.

Ummm. I will turn dow that offer. I just as I was writing this did a domain search and registered seducedfratboys.com. I like that one MUCH better than frathunk for the branding purposes and the two key wors frat and boy. As far as frat men. Man, The brandingpower of that site is soooooo much better than Frat Hunk. I mean its not about the name as what you do with it. Who would think seancody = straight boys? What key words are there?
Heck if my mom knew a sean cody from the past she may visit the site. LOL.

Nope just want that one for a site. i know its a bad name as far as porn. So is seancody when it first came out. It's just I have a site i wanna do and i wanna brand it a certain way.

I actually just found the contact info for the guy who had it. i knew he had a hub of sites when he was submiiting to my link list. Then did a tgp with. i believe at one time he was in partnership with Barry. I could be wrong on the last part.

If you want a site like that you should go all the way with it man, DADS BOYS .COM I find people respond best to extremes. Playful just off the word sounds really soft-core to me, and not really what allot of these twink guy viewers want. After all making twink/teen boy sites are my life. I like guys with puppies and all to, but even that is all about taking what looks like such a sweet guy and exposing him to something hard-core. That is why most str8 sites are so hateful, a twink site and teen boy sites are allot like str8 sites, you are marketing to tops not bottoms

Well maybe so, even though I do not know about that now days. AVS is not really what is was by a long shot, but it is much more forgiving as far as names and such. Really I would think that was way to big of a AVS site, but do what you know man. Hell I sell some Free AVS sites that people do not really give a shit about anymore, I sell 20X as many memberships to my old members site than any AVS, but you are right they are much easier.

when AVS friendly was big, I was putting up sites with 5,000+ pics to a free avs and marketing as my own paysite. Didnt pay for feeds, the content I had, all I paid for was a designer ($200 - $300) if i was too lazy to do it myself. I treated it like my own paysite, showed updates each week on the tour, and sent tgp/ll/and paid traffic to them. Cost to eneter was low. rewars were incredible.

I mean i would say on average that 1:100 surfers who hit a Mansites website saw it adverstisng 50 pics and probably had banners on the tour. Imagine what happened when the surfer joined a site a saw 5,000 pics in a niche they liked and weekly updates in a FREE AVS. My last site I did like this was an uncut site that for every 85 surfers that eneter my tour, 14 hit the Mansites join page and 1 joined. It converted at 1:85. Not bad off tgp and ll traffic.

And concerning AVS being dead. My UGAS sales are up like crazy. I think it's teh $15 rebill on prefreed sites. i am selling site i submiited years ago with the max pixel cds. how old is that content?

IF AVS sold worth a crap I would push it, but I have to make money, and providing all the content, traffic, themes, and graphics for a AVS to make poor sales is not a good idea, but what ever. Personally I find free sites do better numbers as far a sales, I submit to many AVS sites every week and have for years but mainly just out of habit now days. 90% of everything in a AVS site now days people can get 100% free about anyplace online, and if you are giving them something they can not get for free then I would be charging them by the month to see it myself.

I have a Mancheck affiliate that I signed up in like 1999-2000 and he has a plus site. i have gotten $300 - 400 a month in $1 referalls every month since then.

When is the last time their was a new big AVS site man? 1999? I would never tell anyone to not use AVS, and was just joking about the “twitcher” thing but in all reality now days free traffic will convert much better and their is a very limited amount of AVS traffic at all. I would say 1/3 or less of it than even 3 years ago.

You may not know the AVS market then. That's good if you feel that way. I just don't see how you can justify that traffic you have not pre-qualified as traffic having used a c/c in the past is better than FREE traffic.

If you are talking in total sales - yes. But AVS traffic IMHO retains much better. And is traffic that i will send to a niche % program in a heart beat.

You obviously missed a huge trend in the market... the movie AEN/AVSs like AdultBouncer, PornAccess, DeluxePass, etc. They revolutionized the AVS market with a new business model. Some of my movie archives have more content than a typical paysite and the network has 1,000s of gigs of full-length DVD content.
