What do you look for in a content company?

Hey all you happy porn peddlers. I have some very important questions for you.

What is it you want or look for in a content provider in terms of features/benefits?

Also, what yanks your cranks promotion wise? Do you like cash? Do you like free content such as X amount of free bandwidth? Do you like gifts such as an Ipod, or laptop computer? What is it that you like to get from a company who appreciates your business?

Throw me out some ideas and we will work to get something kickass implemented just for YOU!

Totally depends on what type of content the company offers, personally, i expect more from providers that deal with 'physical' content than i do from providers that deal with feeds.

Promos and such dont really sway my decisions one way or the other becuase for the most part, i see them for what they actually are in the long run of things as im sure many others do.

I am not the type to look for 'special' promotions; as well, I typically do not trust them. (Okay, okay ... I'll be honest and say that I actually hate the "ClubZ" mentality. )
I reduce traffic to the sponsors, for the duration of their 'special' promo. If they have multiple overlapping promos, traffic to them will slowly drop down to a trickle.

What do I expect from a company that wants to show their appreciation?
That's simple:
- zero % traffic "adjustment" (doing all they can to ensure there are no "internet errors")!
- a return of the same quality &/or type of traffic.
Example: primary-exit-console-traffic-from-a-big-dick-site gets you primary-exit-console-traffic-from-a-big-dick-site.
- constant attention to, or maintenance of, the sites being promoted, such as better-designed & populated FHG, promotional material (tours and banners) is updated frequently etc.
- the option to use hardcore promotional material (banners & tours).
- ensuring stats provided are detailed (RAWS, retaining the referring URLs etc).

for plugin content, I want to see original & high quality videos and pictures, with regular updates to keep members happy. I don't want to pay a plugin company several hundred dollars a month to get the same videos I can buy direct from a content shop. One other thing, they have to be on a good server cuz I don't want to have members complaining that the movies I have no control over are too slow or are offline.

for a content shop, I like seeing a good variety of content that is easy to search. For pic sets, I want to see the entire set (thumbs) plus a few large images so that I know what I am buying. For movies, some screencaps and a good synopsis saying what it contains (eg, 5 scenes with 1 group, 3 hardcore and 1 solo, total time 85 minutes).

If a company wants to show their appreciation, I like little surprise gifts. Last week I got a nice surprise when Michael sent me an amazon gift cert for helping him out. It was totally unexpected and it made my week.

Lots of videos and pic sets to match
For the content providers to have the content in many different formats, and types already.

And for feeds, I like them to have scheduled updates, and have many different feed options that do the same, I would love daily scheduled updates for some feeds :)

The problem with having too many sales, or dropping your prices too much is that everybody buys it and suddenly it's all over the net and not worth as much anymore.

1. I can re-download the content anytime I want. I HATE when you buy content and they only let you download it once, and then you cant download it again without having to contact them. What a pain in the ass.
2. Deals when Im buying in bulk
3. Every set has the 2257 docs in them
4. Instant downloads.
Thats pretty much it.

I find myself buying from Ounique a LOT because they have all my past orders available to re-download.

So something I bought 4 years ago I can grab it again without having to contact a rep, try to find the order number, have him make me feel bad about using old content, etc etc.

Marc, I would never make you feel bad about reusing old content. In fact, any reason that gets my peeps to drop in and say hi makes me happy. Our photo content is available for instand downloading for a short time and I'm more than happy to reset it for you if you need to go back later. :)

I'm just looking for some HOT BOYS that can speak English and are legal. I need good quality videos and photos. I found a few good companys. It's so hard.

juan, as you read this you will see that most people don't think of plugin feeds as content. i don't either. content is something i license - plugins are something i lease.

that being said, the only thing i can see that would be of any use would not be promo items - it would be a little promo content for tours or to link to from the member area, not just banners and buttons. for years it has irritated me - i mean, who has banners or buttons in their member area? no one except people with plugin feeds - and surfers are trained to think of buttons and banners as ads. having some stuff that don't look like advertising would be a real plus.
