I have a daddy site thats all furry rugged daddies, and I could easily switch the name to bear instead if it sells better.
Anyone have experience with this? If one sells more than the other?

For me Bear = Harry/Fat guys and Daddy is manly just guys over 40. Now you can have Bear Daddy’s if you want but both are different things. Not sure what word would sell best but if you have Bears I would use that word some place
I prefer the term chubby over fat. But that's just me. If one can't make up thier mind between Bear and Daddy I would suggest saying Daddy Bears or Bear Daddy's. That's just another option. :playboy:Quote:

I like the term "daddy" and that is the style of site that I do. But I think "bear" is a bigger market. "Hairy" is also a good term to use to describe a non-heavy bear.
But having said that, I once was #1 in google for "hairy daddy" and I got just a small amount of traffic from that ranking. Go figure.
older and mature outsell daddy by quite a bit for me, and always have.
Instead of asking "Who's your baby's daddy..." I can ask "Who's your bear's daddy". Sounds more fun on Judge Judy.
But...I've thought they where two genres.
Bear - Furry guy (sometimes "chubby" sometimes great shape but with lots of hair/fur). Bears can have otters....(one of my favorite) or cubs.
Daddy - Older guy (that is about 30 in San Diego or 40+ anywhere else) that has a "boy".
But they are different to my mind.

Not hairy enough to be a bear...and to "froggle" to be a Daddy. So my Daddy of 7 years is a few years younger them me.

I don't know, AVN once called me "a daddy's daddy" which I kind of thought sounded like I was a grandpa! or something older for Christ's sake!
The term "bears" is now loosely applied to "chubs" and "hairy" guys
Daddy's applies to guys like me, older (over the standard porn age of 23) to grandpa age (way over)
Daddy bears - a heavy set, hairy older guy
Pooh Bears - a heavy set hairy guy into (u know what)
and
everything else in between
I still prefer the term "MEN" "Hairy MEN" etc.

I asked around later what were the definitions of all the lables and this is what I found out.
Daddy, just like DeAngelo described. Older, dominate hairy men.
Bears, heavy, hairy and a top
Cubs, heavy, hairy and a bottom
The rest confuse me. But that's what I was told and please anyone correct me if I am wrong.

Daddy seem's to always "imply", IMHO that there's some "son's" around "doing" that Dad.

and in my next example... we have a classic "older, hairy bear, daddy, Master type" with his "slave boy" (not cub because he's not hairy) - locked in an embrace ... how romantic ...

Marc, daddy is a niche of mature - which means less traffic. bear is good if you have bear content. older and mature are good if you have older and mature content - like i told you, grandpa was a great selling niche for us but grandpa doesn't have connotations of an older guy with a younger guy and our site name was older men nude so it sort of covered the entire older spectrum.
You know that saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words" i think that really applies here. Don't get caught up so much on the wording, use pictures to describe what you are selling so that there's no doubt in the surfers mind.
