Where do you get your inspiration for new websites? Have you ever created a website because you saw something in a movie or heard about something that happened in real life, and you thought that it would make a good adult site?

my inspiration: money
...Luke
Good one Luke and oh so true!
Well I have to say most of the resource sites we have come from seeing a lack of information on a particular niche.
Surfer sites... well DILF pretty much says it. Once we heard MILF in American Pie, a lot of us started saying DILF and that site came from there. So I'd say real life inspired that one.
Beyond that, for me, free sites are inspired by the content I have in front of me... Link and TGP sites are made based on domain names we own - and the design or layout for all of them just flow from what's in front of me. And, all of that is based on how can I work the surfer to buy without pissing them off (sometimes LOL)
GA
Right on Gary-Alan,
You know, I'm sure I've told you this before, but I've taught DILF to my friends and when we go to Disneyland it becomes a big game with us. DILF Spotting. LOL!!!
Hi
Don, you ask good qustions but...
The ansnwer from Luke I understand very well.
But what about DILF & MILF - you laugh in the private. No idea. What is that.
It's a pitty you don't write in german

Have a good day

Gee, I thought everyone knew about DILF and MILF. Gary-Alan can give you more info on DILF, but I can tell you that it stands for "Dads I'd Like to Fuck" while MILF is "Moms I'd Like to Fuck". My joke with Gary-Alan is that when I go to Disneyland, I see a lot of hot guys pushing strollers with their families, and I'll say to my friend "DILF alert". LOL!
I'm afraid the only language I speak is English. And sometimes, I don't speak that so well. LOL!
Ohh this way it goes, thats good - but I thought you'd be a serious buisinessman? :)))
Yea, it's about the same I used to practice with my best girlfriend (only platonic)years ago.
We had and have about the same taste, so we agreed a pointing system between 1 and 10 and were allocating points, to the male gender of course, where ever we were together (well, most probably we were "pointed" as well).
Thanks for information
Claudio
LOL! Well, Claudio. I get the job done and make my clients happy, but you have to have fun in everything you do. Life is too short not to. I think you know what I mean, you seem like a fun guy yourself. Thanks for posting. :)Quote:

Think it's true but we'r really off topic.
Let's be serious.
What me inspires at this very moment and already some weekes ago is this very site.
I want to say: If you could arrange a photoshooting with Scorpio that wouldn't be bad. I'd buy all the sets twice and do a marvelous site. :))
This would make up a perfect "10" for my girlfiend and (me).
Sorry Scorpio - of course I would accept a custom shooting as well.
P.S. This is a "joke" and not to be taken (so very very much :))serious. But it's true, this face inspires me.
It is sometimes like sitting in a bar. You see a nr. 10 (may be an 8 as well) and you'r starting making the outlines.
Well, it's only Monday and already sitting in a Bar...? It has to come to an end.

I think people underestimate the usefulness of adult yahoo groups, particularly when it comes to inspiration for development of new sites.
If you find a niche community, the larger the community the larger the market. Yahoo groups also help you to get a feel for what people want to see particular to that niche.
Thats just my two cents
Oops and I nearly forgot to say hi to don  *slaps to me*
I finally found some time to post
what with all the :whip: going on arond here i think ill have to stand and type for a while giggles :)
Anyway big hi to don.
As long as you're enjoying the :whip: LOL
And you are totally on with the yahoo groups. I look through there a lot. I don't necessarily build sites from what I find, but I do get ideas on marketing. But they are equally as potent.
Thanks for sharing that.
My best,
Gary-Alan
I used to work for an gay adult site. And when it was time to do a new feeder site, I'd look through the file folders of pictures until something struck me. Sometimes, I'd get a thought: "Gee, I feel like doing a cocksucker site."
Then, I'd be off to the search engine tools, type in "cocksucker" and see what kinds of cocksuckers people were looking for. I'd never try and duke it out for the 998,329 people who searched for "cocksucker" last month, nope, I'd scroll down and find the 1,200 people who were looking for "cocksuckers on their knees" and then, I'd have my theme.
I would do that time and again. And like a previous poster mentioned, YahooGroups is a great resource for themes. Those groups sure are specific. Never content to just trade pictures of blonde boys, shit no, thos guys at YG want pictures of blonde guys from Poland with thick cocks and shaved balls, and you'll check out the membership, and there'll be like 8,000 people on the list!
And, if we were truly free, we'd all just look back to our last jerkoff session: what was the thing we were thinking about that sent us splooging over the edge. We're not so unique, there are thousands of people who are turned on by that very thing.
Cheers,
Dzinerbear
Your post was an eye opener Dzinerbear...
I know we all go and try to buy and create domains that have keywords with huge returns ... but narrowing down a specific content niche like you've done is something I hadn't considered! Thanks for sharing the info! I'll certainly be looking at those keyword returns a lot differently now!
I have to agree with BentBoy, we use a yahoo group for onr of my sites. Just to see what people like and don't like. Before we add it to the members area.

I'm still learning the ropes ... so if someone would be so kind as to give specific directions on locating these Yahoo groups, I'd be grateful.

This is one place to start... http://groups.yahoo.com/ it's literally the group start page.
I have so many searches bookmarked I'd flood this page LOL I search on terms and go through the page results. I'm sure someone has an easier method but I like to play with search terms to see what I get and the amount of results I find with those terms.
Hope it helps!
Gary-Alan
they are at Groups.yahoo.com
You will need a yahoo id and an email for them. If I where you, I would make a "fake" yahoo id with a junk email address because your going to get some CRAP emails. LOL
Another thing you can do is set it up to not recieve emails from the group, and just check things out online. (But now you will not be able to see the images that people submit, unless the person puts them in the group floders.
LOL Pimp Daddy Gary Beat Me To It! :bandana:
Hey andymike,
Nice to see you here! And a local boy too, right on! :)
I agree totally about the yahoo groups. I've said this before on other boards and people didn't seem to agree. They slagged them off saying they were just places to go for free porn, but the truth is that they are communities. I have quite a long list of yahoo clubs that I belong to (and one I actually run). Not only do people post pics of themselves, but they can get really involved in discussions about thier lifestyles, fantasies and interests. And you'll find that they can get really quiet, but with one very active member with some probing questions, people will jump at the chance to share thier stories. It's a great resource for people who build adult sites. And Andy, I never thought about someone using the clubs to connect and test market (if you will) and adult site. Great idea!
LdyLnWolf1 ... I used to rack my brains trying to come up with a good domain, you know with a couple of keywords separated by hyphens. (I don't go over board.) My two bear domains are doing fine, but I just couldn't get my twink site into Google. So, I hope this little story might prevent some problems for people down the road.
Here's what I think has happened:
My domain was www.keyword-keyword-keyword.com and it's been up since June and it's still not indexed. One of my other sites was put up just two weeks before that and it's indexed and has top rankings. My sites all have links from a PR 4 site, they have lots of written content, and don't break any rules.
When I search for my URL in Google I find a couple of other sites like the following:
http://www.anotherdomain.com/keyword...d-keyword-com/
So, I don't know why, but I firmly believe that their inclusion of my URL in their URL is preventing my site from getting in. It's the only thing I can think of.
What I'm doing now is I've just registered a new name, and I've chosen a different strategy. There's some scuttlebutt that Google is starting to penalize domains with too many keywords in the URL, and although it's only speculation at the moment, I think it's only a matter of time. So, I made up a word and registered that as my domain. I'm going to dump the old domain and just not re-register it.
I won't be registering any more keyword-rich domain names. And I'm in the process of doing a quick redesign of the twink site, and I'm hoping it'll be in the search engines shortly.
So LdyLnWolf1, by all means continue trying to come up with new themes, I'm just not sure I'd corporate them into your URL too much. I'm noticing some drastic changes in Google rankings with their latest update. It just happens to be affecting my sites in a good way, a lot of others are screaming. But where SEO goes, I've always tried to err on the side of caution and it seems to be paying off.
Cheers
Dzinerbear
Hey Don! Yea, I'm local. I'm out in Sherman Oaks. =o)
I get members from that yahoo group all the time. They will email me and tell me that they are so glad they found it. LOL Weird huh?
One of the only times I've really noticed much conversions from traffic that is 90% of the time looking for free stuff.
Thanks guys!
My dsl service automatically created a Yahoo account ... I'll just have to figure out how to make a different email address within it ... or just go with the one they made since I don't really use it.
Forging ahead with the read, read, read, and read some more! LOL:elf:
HAHAHAHA Pimp Daddy - I love it!Quote:

You know I'd strongly suggest make sure you DO set up an junk mail account and get those spams. While receiving pics isn't my goal in life (well not anymore)... some of the spam email for sites and products have some interesting ideas on marketing. Some are blatant bullshite, but some that have come in had a twist to them that makes you think. Personally, I love it when something like that makes me think.
Gary-Alan
I'm sure many of us are following this latest Google makeover, and it's certainly a hot topic on the webmaster boards. But I have to say that my non-adult sites, or sites I've built and manage for clients, didn't move a wink in standings... BUT they DO NOT have keywords in the url ... but do in their titles and metatags.Quote:

My biggest non porn adult is a hyphenated url, and I haven't found that to be a hindrance in listings, in fact I was just reading an article about how it could actually help having a hypenated url for ranking. (don't ask me where now, I was surfing and have no clue where I was). My site with the hyphenated url holds 1 and 2 respectively for it's keywords in Google and Yahoo, and as I mentioned above, doesn't actually contain any keywords in the url.
Google is head hunting those that use the programs that create all those doorway pages for search engines ... and legit sites are getting butt bitten in the process, unfortunately.
As to your search not returning the hyphenated domain ... I found that doing the search without the hyphens found my site ... and using them didn't! No clue why. I guess if we're not a fly on the wall in the Google War Room ... we'll just have to keep stumbling along and hope we can stay afloat of how they setup their rankings.
Good bit of advice andymike it surely would not be good to give your primary mail account to them giggles.Quote:

We actually have a few yahoo groups listed on bentlinks but by far the most comprehensive gay list I have found is at http://www.gaygroups.info awesome list.
Its a good place to start if you want to find all the big groups  have fun
