I am proudly gay and out but I have never been accused of being "flaming" or "sassy". And I have never used the the words "girl" of "girlfriend" unless I was referring to an actual female.
I have never taken money for sex.
I'm gay 24/7... not just the weekends.
I have many great straight male friends but have never desired to sleep with a single one of them.
And I have ZERO desire to sleep with women even though I am formerly "straight".
I know this was meant in fun. But I think this is quite indicitive of the bias in the gay community. If we don't fit into the tight shiny shirt/puca shell necklace/hip-hugger/high-lighted fauxhawk/gym obsessed style of GAY, then we are are invisible. And many of us "rejects" would prefer not to be considered gay if being fashion-controlled, flamboyant or consumed with "straight men" are a requirement.
