a little more info on you and what you do in the industry would probably help. gay is far from dead, although just like with the str8 market, niche often helps conversions.
Well I am a producer and Director I create videos and do photo shoots. My sites are badboysfilms.com, my search engine is gayscrub.com my blog is gaymensblog.com and my tgp site is men4porn.com and my streaming video is 3pigvideos.com. BadBoysFilms.com has a great affiliate program for webmasters. So what else can I tell you other than It cost more to run then it makes. Thousands on videos. The sites are no older than a few months and the first came online in Oct 06. I getting through out all the sites about 50,000 users a month viewing my sites and BadBoysFilms.com has the highest traffic. But the others are gaining for sure, as they all link to each other. Each site offers plenty of user goodies so not sure why its not doing more.Quote:

The % I pay to BP to host our 3 gay member-based sites is well worth every fraction of the cost. I love that our retention is tight and that they do a TON of outside advertizing.
You see, anything that saves me paperwork, gives access to my members to ALL the 100+ BP Contributors, sends internal, super-filtered traffic, who charged back under $100 in `06 and has a TOS that keeps us WELL above US law ...

You have to build on your success. Know what makes you money first then do a paysite. Trial and error. It's part of the process. There is no formula to follow and getting in this game is a real gamble
More specifically, Badboyfilms doesn't really seem to have the edge that it implies. The guys are hot ! Yes, but a surfer needs to know why they are "bad". Take a look at DirtyBoyVideo.com. They've got that edge going for them. You definitely have the content, you just need to give it that edge surfers are craving.
Plus, and I don't mean to start a flame war here, but your gaymensblog.com is stealing content from QueerClick. That's in poor taste, even if you're using QC's affiliate links. Do something original and you'll gain an audience -- and make some money.

Your site's top banner is smooshed. It looks out of proportion.
The red lettering on grey is really hard to read.
What the hell is COPA? (I jest, but isn't that dead? A 2257 link is enough I think)

It's too spammy. Rewrite the text so it doesn't sound like you're trying to spam traffic from search engines. It's not helping you at all in that regard so your might as well rewrite it.
Why the Free Speech buttons? It's just more clutter. Are they sending you traffic? Surfer's don't care that you're a member.
Purple on grey is even harder to read than red on grey.
"Our Latest Models" and like-minded banners don't look clear. In a surfer's mind -- if you can't get the graphics on the tour pages looking good, then the content inside probably isn't very good either.
Badpuppy has been around for a long time and while it may hold appeal for some people, a lot of people have already had a membership and may not be interested in doing so again. So, it can be working against you. It's not impossible, you'll just have to push harder in the tour to make your site sound like a must have.
