This is the team behind Jizz4u.com.
We are having an immense amount of difficulty converting visitors into sales! We have nearly 13,000 unique visits per day and we're getting one sign-up every other day. That's a microscopic conversion rate.
We've just re-done the tour, but we're not seeing any difference in conversion rate -- ie. no additional signups.
Help!? Would anybody be so kind as to check out our tour and let us know what is going wrong?? :crazyeyes:

I was going to do a review of this site, but I held off for some of the following reasons.
You guys don't have a lot of content. Your category section makes it look like you have a lot, but a quick click through the categories and the surfer is going to see the same movies over and over.
This may piss off a lot of people or giving them the sense that you're a rip off. If you try to trick me into your site, do you really have what you say you have. That kind of thing. It's like the old AVS days when we said, "Click here to preview this picture" and the surfer got a join page.
Be more upfront with your surfers and maybe whittle down some of those categories.
I see you add a bunch of thumbs to your tour page, and that may help. But they're so small. I recently redid one of my sites and enlarged all of my preview pictures and saw a +40% increase in sales. Surfers have bigger monitors now, they want bigger pictures.

Im curious as to where the traffic is coming from and what type of traffic is it? For example twink traffic wont sniff at a site like that. Wrong type of men. 1:26000 is dire and im wondering if traffic type and source is a part of it?
Well first and foremost, you should have tested the site before setting it live for affiliates, that was your first mistake.
That being said, there are a bunch of things that could be changed in addition to what Michael mentioned above...
1) Get better quality images on the warning page, and main page headers, they look grainy and low quality, because of this, the surfers are probably thinking the pics inside are going to be grainy and low quality.
2) You have no focus on the site, you say its about 'real men' but then go ahead showing muscular guys, twinks, jocks, solo guys, couples, etc, etc. Throwing a bunch of picture together that have no commonality isnt going to work for a tour, as you have found out.
3) There is to much text, gay surfers are stimulated visually not mentally, whittle the amount of text you have on the site down to a bare minimum and where possible use images that portray what you are trying to say with text, for example, if you are talking about fetish content, throw a fetish looking pic on the page, its going to drive the message home a lot better than 3-4 paragraphs of text will.
4) The join page is to distracting, the ONLY thing you need to have on the join page if the join form. No links to other areas of your site, no email collection boxes, no links to your friends sites or other sites you own, just the join form.
5) Your price point is crazy, id raise your price above $20 too, if you have half the content you say you do inside the site, and are charging less than a lot of other sites do, the surfer is going to wonder 'why?'.

On your site you have links to Dr. Dick's Sex Advice, your aebn theatre, and the stockroom. For affiliates those are traffic leaks. If I send you a surfer, and they click your aebn theatre link, I'm not cutting a cut of that. This will turn off surfers.
I also think I have a problem with the width of your site. It fills my whole 21 inch monitor, but you don't really have enough to "fill" the page, so the site looks less intimate.
Also, you should have told affiliates your site was going to be down for an extended period of time. Maybe you did and I missed the e-mail. But if you didn't, that's not a good way to build goodwill with your affiliates.
I don't find emerald green inspires the smutty side of me.
Yeah, looking again at your movie page, you need much bigger covers for your DVDs. Also you don't have any descriptions, but you've got a description header, so the site looks unfinished.

Not enough content. I can join pridemov for $4 and get a shit load more than what you offer. The fact that your category buttons make it seem like you have a lot, but then once you click them its the same stuff over and over is over deceiving. Probably costing you sales. Get at least 10 new dvd;s in each category and it will make a huge differnece.

Ya Lee, and Michael are right I would pay allot attention to what they have said. If you can work out the problems they listed I am sure you will turn it around. I do not really want to add to much as they have listed the biggest problems already. :thumbsup:
There is some REALLY excellent advice in this thread for any paysite owner but I'll add my 2 cents and reiterate and/or contradict some comments.
The site loads REALLY FUCKING SLOW! I assume that you are using some kind of CMS and that can seriously slow down the speed. I'm betting alot of your vistors are backing out of the site before anything even loads in their browser. I thought IE had locked up at first and went back to doing something else on my computer while the first page loaded. I have no experience with CMS's but I think you need to tweak some settings or something... or maybe you server is just slow.
Your design is different... I'll give you that. And different can be good but your index page is a mishmash of styles. The top thumbnails make it look too much like a TGP. And then the bottom half looks like an old style AVS site. I would think this would be very confusing to surfers.
And I agree with Michael and Lee... your index thumbs are too small and grainy. And the second half of the page looks like an afterthought. I'm sure other will disagree but I think large text looks exceptionally cheezy. I'm viewing this on a 22" monitor. I can't imagine how big that text is on a much smaller monitor... it would fill the entire screen. On the index page, I would break up the block of thumbs with some nice sexy text.
Also, there is no cohesive feel to the site. Other than the header, each page is radically different. This feels too much like a massive database and not a paysite tour. We recently trimmed the tour of Uknakedmen.com way back. It had become too sprawling and surfers got lost in the matrix.
I disagree with Lee that your site has no focus. The thumbs show a nice selection of masculine/real men although I'd remove the few younger/twinkier guys from the index page. Variety can sell well but your focus is on 'real men' and your site does make that apparent to me... and I'm your target demographic. So don't listen to Lee. ;)
Ditto dzinerbear... get rid of the traffic leaks if your goal is to attract affiliates! No webmaster is going to be overjoyed to promote your site with so many exits to programs he won't earn a dime on. If you don't care about affiliates, keep the links. But don't expect your tour to convert well although you may earn money from other opportunites.
The updates page... where are the sexy images? I see lot's of text but I won't be compelled to read it unless there are some naked men to look at too. And even more frustrating, when I scroll to find the images lower on the page, in IE, the text above disappears completely. Very strange.
The videos page... Nothing is leaping out at me. Some tiny images and very dull lists of actors and non-descriptive text.
The scenes page... Totally unnecessary. You have a video pages already. What's the difference here? And again, it looks like it's not finished yet. The box covers are miniscule and on my 22" monitor, there is way too much white space.
Model's page... Same problems as mentioned above and then some. Obviously it's an alphabetical database. And look who's on top... Aaron Giant. He may be a really sweet guy but DAMN is he fugly. Dump the database here especially and put your hottest models on this page.
The galleries page... Again, dullsville.
I'm really overwhelmed by the amount of white space. I'd totally get rid of this fullscreen tour. I like the idea but it's too much of a crapshoot how it will display in different resolutions.
Green... color is totally subjective as far as I'm concerned. But I agree with Michael. This particular shade of green just doesn't feel the least bit sexy to me. In fact, I don't think I've ever used green on a porn site in my life. I tend to stay away from all greens and browns except for maybe accents.
Recap... I know you went through a lot of trouble with the redesign but I honestly would scrap this whole tour. There are better ways to do a database/CMS tour. One of my favorite CMS tours is Berlin Male... although I think the thumbs are way too small. But the layout is just much more cohesive, logical and sexy.
WOW, that is really slow. I waited for over 3 minutes and still only saw dots on the top half of your screen, then I just shut my browser out of frustrationQuote:

are you on a virtual or dedicated account? If its a virtual account I have a feeling your server is oversold and overworked. If its dedicated then you must be on a very poor quality network.

I see focus as the biggest issue here. Yes, the site does focus on "real men" meaning athletic/jocks and macho/older/hairy, but it's the tour that doesn't focus well enough for me. Focus the tour on these guys and how you feature them AND have a focus for each page of your tour as it leads up to the join page. There are so many links on each page that your focus gets lost.Quote:

Thanks a million guys for this amazing level of critique;
to summarize looks like we need to do the following:
1. Bigger Images > no more tiny thumbnails
2. Newer Fresher Content > Big DVD Boxs, previews etc
3. Cut out the affiliate leaks . we need to focus on one product > jizz4u not Dr Dick, AEBN etc
4. Focus on Real MEN >
5. Speed Issues > we'll need to investiage our server (two crocs) and decide how to improve
6. Streamline CMS > the engine is built on a custom CMS > we'll see what we can improve
Next we have some pictures
A. Tour? Less pictures? what are you guys thoughts on the flash previews?
B. Content? Is the content boring? Do we need better stuff?
C. Traffic > any thoughts on how we can direct focused RealMen viewers?

more good quality big pics. you can have thumbs, but they shouldn't be the focus. and too many does look like a tgp.
if i were you, i'd go with a reality style tour and member area. you're using a DVD archive page layout, which would be nice if your site was a DVD archive. but your site is TINY compared to videobox, gayvideobox and other similar sites. i'd scrap this tour and start over entirely as even having this tour layout - the original, not the one with the thumbs, will mislead most surfers.
