Was just curious if anyone was actually planning on attending the show in January given the current economic state and how little business return actually gets seen from this show.
Are any of you folks planning on attending?
Regards,
Lee

yes I will be at AEE and Internext!
I will be there in my new role working as part of the team from Traffic Dude!
Nice to be back in the industry full time.
Nope. Going south for the winter so won't be able to attend.
Hmmm, $30 for a day to do business with the same people we could/should be doing business with here?
I'll stick to forums, e-mails and phone calls.
I'm heading down - more to be with my husband who is launching some new tools at CES and AVN/Internext.
It seems like this is going to be a slow show, however, the more people I talk to the fewer seem to be planning to attend.
Still, I expect I'll run into the usual suspects and drum up some business opportunities!
Warm wishes for a Happy Holiday Season and a Very Happy New Year!!

I went on the website to find admission tickets. The best I could come up with was $30/day just to get into the show. But, strangely, no where was a price list. I thot that was kind of sneaky - they want all your personal info, and CC numbers, before seeing prices. But I finally saw a $30 number.
I went to XBiz last summer when I lived and worked in Vegas, Somehow I got a free ticket. I spent 4 hours poolside in 95 degree heat. I met two long-time vendors reps face to face. But it basically was a cocktail party - and 99% there were there to party off the trade.
The bottom line is: real money is made off of sales to consumers. Unless a show is to sell to consumers, it is a self-indulgent experience. Being a one-man shop, I can take or leave a self-indulgent trade show, as I can be equally entertained at the $6.99 Prime Rib buffet at the Sahara Hotel, or $14 to see "Milk" at the Arclight Hollywood.
Shows can be of value or a waste of time and money depending on what your purposes for going are and how you plan your time.
I understand on the gay side the video show only has 2 companies exhibiting. For the straight side they still do a great job getting consumer traffic from CES to promote the girls and the video studio.
I will be there for just Internext this year and I use it as an opportunity to touch base in person with people that I'm currently working with and revisit strategies for plans going forward.
It also gives me an opportunity to meet with potential new partners to follow-up with after the show.
I pretty much book most of my appointments with people in advance.
Though there are a lot of people who still don't go to the shows that I'd like the opportunity to meet in person.
late entry but i will be there aswell ...
I will be there drumming up business for ManSites. Hit me if you plan on going too.
Hey Guys,
I will be there. Last minute I decided to go because I have 3 AVN nominations and I also feel like I need to meet with people face to face because they still don't "get" me:) I feel like it helps my business when people meet me. The AEE show is super straight and my customers tend to be gay but I do see more woman interested in the last year. I would love to meet with anyone who is there if your interested in what I have to offer.
Let me know! buckangel@buckangel.com
