gallery post 301 warning
I know this may be a bit simple but I’m submitting new galleries and I keep getting this warning, can anyone tell me what this means and what I need to do to get pass this, thanks.
The gallery URL you have submitted is not accessable: 301 Moved Permanently
-
the 301 error means the original page was moved and it gives the URL of the new page. Are you posting FHGs to tgp sites?
-
yes I am but my sites haven’t been moved, their on the server, as always. I’m not sure how to get around this, any suggestions?
-
So are you posting these FHG's to your own TGP or submitting to TGP's belonging to others?

I’m posting galleries, just trying to get the site out there and get some links back.
-
Show us some examples.
Sounds like you are trying to post sponsor galleries, which is a fast way to get blacklisted.
But, we can't be sure with as little info as you've provided.
-
Try posting galleries that you actually create yourself.
-
odds are that the FHG is dynamically created and this is why the 301 code comes up when submitting it to script based TGP sites.
FHGs are NOT meant for affiliates to submit to TGP sites, instead, they are meant for TGP site owners to use to fill out their sites and get credit for their traffic. If you want to submit galleries, you either have to make them yourself or speak with the affiliate rep for the company you are promoting and see if they will host them for you as plain html.
-
I dunno Luke, as soon as a tgp owner sees you posting the same fhg he could be posting with his code, i think you're gonna get banned.
Even if it is plain html, even if you rip the gallery and host it yourself, it's gonna be seen as cheating or at best unbelievably dumb.
The only exception might be if you were friends with the TGP owner.
You can chop and mix, that is, take parts of fhg creatives and use them to make new galleries, but even that has it's risks. One day the reviewer sees it, thinks why the fuck am I posting what is basically the same fhg I could get for myself, and it's ban time.
-
Bill, I agree...but was giving the hint that some affiliate programs do help webmasters by hosting tgp galleries for them!
-
-
well, there's yer problem right there...
dude - those links ain't galleries.
Those are warning pages.
they do seem to lead to galleries - for example - http://www.blackgaythugporn.com/free..._gay_porn.html
who you submitting to?
Cuz, those are too small to be freesites, like you submit to a linklist.
and TGPs don't want warning pages. All they want to see is the gallery itself, the pages like this - http://blackgaythugporn.com/horse-hu...ung_thugs.html
So, you need to modify your concept of what you are doing.
-
thanks Bill, can you point me in the direction of a good free site example?
-
Hmmm, well I don't like to show my own unless I really really have to...
I did a quick search here for freesites and while there's plenty of results I didn't see any examples in teh results I looked at.
Anybody here have any good links to nice freesite examples? Or know of a thread here with freesite designs in it?
Generally, a freesite is a smallish site with a warning page (usually with recip links and a sales link on it), a main page with a half page ad, and 2 to 6 gallery pages with pics or movies.
You submit those to what are called linklists.
You submit the galleries alone to places called TGPs. or thumbnail gallery posts.
-
Thanks for your effort mate, I’m gonna create my own tgp and submit my galleries. What do you think of the gallery? I know it basic but do you think it gets the job done?
-
Hmmmm, well guy, I would say they are not that great.
First, a technical point - there's kindof an unwritten law that galleries should have a statement at the bottom about 2257, stating that the models are over 18 even if it's clear they are not under 18. Lots of places wont take galleries without that, so, to be sure, most gallery builders put some kind of compliance statement on the gallery, at the bottom.
The watermarks across the bodies - I'd say most reviewers will not like it. They might let you get away with it a few times, but if they dont know you, they might just think it's bullshit and ban you, or ban the domain, or something of that kind.
Personally, I thinks its best to avoid the use of the word 'gay' in gay marketing, unless it's the name of the site. We all know it's gay, saying it usually sounds wrong.
Your calls to action are weak, your selling is nuetral, and nuetral is bad in selling.
I would try to make sharper thumbs.
Spend a lot of time thinking about how you are going to SELL the fantasy and the mental/sensual imagery of the masturbation that you want your target surfer to pay for.
But it's your call to action that is the biggest lack. Always have a link, that stands head and shoulders over the other links in attention grabbing vividness, that is begging the guy to CLICK HERE.
Yeah I know your lower banner is supposed to be that. All I can do is shake my head sadly at such a sight.
-
Much appreciated, I prefer in-depth honest analyze far more than getting my ego stroke. It made a lot of sense. Thanks for the time you’ve taken to do this.

Just to add to Bills comments, i think the thumbnail sizes and full pic sizes are fine, however, as Bill already mentioned the sales text is somewhat neutral, you might be better off using something along the lines of...
Thuglicious Features Exclusive Nasty Ass Pounding Ebony Thugs In All Their Glory, Click Now To Take The Free Tour And See For Yourself!
Instead of just mentioning the basic '100% exclusive, click here' type text you have, the added benefit being you have keywords in your text link which will invoke a surfer to click.
The other major thing i would change is splitting the page up a little, you have the header graphic on the gallery, there really isnt any need to have a text link directly below the header, instead i would move that first text link to below the second row of thumbs, or maybe even put the banner below the second row and put the text link where the banner is right now at the bottom of the page.... Also, put a smaller text link below the banner, that WILL increase the effectiveness of the banner ad being on the page, just something as simple as 'click here to see more black thugs' should suffice.
In addition, i have ALWAYS found that matching a gallery or free site colors to that of the site i am going to be sending traffic to has resulted in better conversions for me, this might be something you want to do so that the transition between gallery and paysite is more fluid.
There are a few other things i would suggest but right now we need to get your gallery layout correct so ill hold my other suggestions back for the time being until we have a layout that the general populous thinks will work, then ill get in to some more technical html stuff related to SEO :)
Also, im going to copy this thread across to the general board too as i think a lot more people will give you feedback on that section and it will be good for a few others to see the advice in this thread also :)
Regards,
Lee
