Think Good Thoughts For Bec Please.....

Bec has been in hospital for the last 24 hours awaiting tests for an issue she has with some bleeding, i got off the phone with her a little while ago and she seems to be in good spirits as does Che.

As of right now all that is known is that she needs to have a colonoscopy and some more tests and the Drs are hoping there is no need to have surgery.

Please keep good thoughts in your heads for her, she has helped a lot of us out on the GWW Community over the years.

As more information becomes available i will post updates as long as she tells me it is okay to do so.

Here is a quick update....

She's had all of the tests that were scheduled except for one, which she will be having in a couple of hours time and everything so far looks normal, so she should be back home tomorrow.

Right now her, scans, colonoscopy and everything else she had showed nothing causing the pain she was having.

Im going to give her a call a little later on after she's had her last test and will keep everyone updated on her progress but so far, it looks like it is very good news!

I just had a quick chat with Bec as well, like Lee said, she is waiting for some additional tests and is hoping to be back at home tomorrow, so lets keep sending that good karma her way!

Just got off the phone with foxy lady (bec) and she sounds upbeat and ready to get out of the hospital. She is planning on leaving Tuesday some time if all goes right.

Well, after a 4 day stay in the hospital, the docs pretty much can't fix what's wrong. I'm having bleeding from the colon that is a result of my peripheral vascular disease. It seems that some organs are "protected" more from a depleted oxygenated blood supply, and don't become affected by it as quickly as other parts of the body (like my legs and heart did already).

The math sounds all wrong, but the doc says if there's less blood to the colon -- it bleeds. But, 9 out of 10 times, it will heal itself, and the one in 10 where it doesn't -- then they look at surgical options.

So, with some bedrest, a fluid diet, and some antibiotics (just in case) I seem to be on the 9 out of 10 list and my situation seems to be fixing itself. "And if it happens again?" you ask ... Well, if it's a little bleeding, do a "wait and see" if it corrects itself, but if it's a lot ... then they'll be expecting me back at the ER.

I appreciate all the phone calls and online best wishes ... you guys are da best!!
