Okay, So I hate Florida

I went to KFC (about 2 miles from the house) today for dinner.... I come back. There's a fucking lizard on the wall starring at me right when I walk in the front door.

Friday night, I went to do laundry. There was a lizard in the washing machine.

I put in sod around the house about 2 weeks ago. My lack of watering it has made it dry. So I put down a little fertalizer this morning and then grabbed the hose. Little did I know there was a fucking lizard on the hose. The fucker jumped off, and I hit my head (and now there's a scab) on the aluminum awnings that are above the windows you can close in the event a hurricane should come.

ARGH! Nasty bastards!

(FYI, I'm in Fort Lauderdale FL.... About 3 miles from the beach.)

I'm figuring a way to some how deter them away from the house... but unfortunately, I live on a sand bar! :scared: :scared: :scared:

Don't worry those little guys won't hurt you, I think they are cute.
Now if it's a gator, then you might want to get away quick.

You'll rethink this post and those lizards when Philly has a foot of snow this winter and you are enjoying a 70 degree perfect day at the beach.

Oh no, I'm not moving back to Pennsylvania! I do love Florida... (Except for the lizards and my high electric bills).

The lizards are kind of cool... just not in my house!

I'll trade a few lizards for snow too!

I love Florida too, hope to move back their sometime in the future.
I just hope the beaches and sea life are not runined by this oil spill in the gulf. It's a shame, spill baby spill, these a holes make me sick. I seriously want to cry sometimes when I see the news about this destruction. I don't even think people understand how big a problem this could be in the long haul, like a chink in the food chain and the extinction of some sea animals.
The republitards really want to bring 2012 predicitons to reality.

I was just in Florida last week.
Seen lots of the little lizards you talk about but never had a problem with them.
Thank the gods I didn't see any snales though. That would have scared the crap out of me.

Oh, we have snails too! Every day I have to hose the house to get them off lol.

I actually found a sea shell the size of 2 half dollars yesterday that my dog dug up out of the sand behind the shed.
A hurricane ripped through a couple years ago, so we're still finding debris throughout the yard. It's pretty cool. It's about 6" long, 4-5" high. It's a sea shell. - We're on a sand bar and not far at all from the water. I was a little excited to find it. And it seems to be in perfect condition!

I love Florida! I'm in Orlando now but hope to move sometime soon south Florida sometime soon. I'll take lizards over snow and cold any day! :)

After today, mowing the lawn Lizards aren't so bad. Today we had a black snake (non poisonous) run across the yard. After seeing snakes (which I absolutely hate) I'm quite fond of the lizard community now lol.

I was down there a few weeks ago, but had ZERO free time to do anything else practically. It sucked, I would have loved to met up finally with you guys... Some day!

Well... Who's fault was that? lol. You could have gotten away for dinner. I was even going to cook you bbq chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, homemade garlic bread, macaroni and cheese. JJ was all excited for you coming down! EVerytime we left the house he had to bring his car charger so that he knew his phone was charged when you would call. NOW DON'T YOU JUST FEEL SALTY! lol. No seriously, we're heading to Plymouth Meeting to do some sleazy movie films... dinners on us when we come up :)

LOL, get used to it honey! It's a small price to pay for our over all weather compared to so many places here in the good ole USA. :)

I think they're good to have around, because they eat creepier critters.
