iPad rules!!!!! you will love it ;)
Well, that's good for starters..sorta like learning how to ride a bike..you get one with them training wheels on 'em.
When you're ready for a REALLY good "pad"..let me know and I'll point ya into the ANDROID direction!
which android tablet though?
LOL @ the bathroom literature!!! I did get a few apps and some free books to start off with. Thankfully, I got a free $100 gift card for iTunes too, as I can see the cost of these apps adding up quickly! So which apps do you guys suggest I get?
...and very cute video Adam :D
I don't have an i-pad but have read that many apps for the i-phone work just as well on the i-pad.
I have an app that lets me turn on or off the lights in my house. People love it and it is very useful during those "I heard something" in the middle of the night moments.
thats neat, how does it do that? do you need to hook your lights up to the internet
Love that cat video~!! That's even more entertaining than when my Khali used to sit and change the tv channels with the remote.
i love my iPads however, i was considering a 10.1 galaxy pad cuz i dun have an android device ;)
so you rooted but what for? free apps or is there homebrew thats worthwhile?
To date, the only use I have seen for them is entertaining cats.
...and I don't have a cat.
Perhaps it'll be an excuse to get a cat!
You have to replace each light switch you wish to operate with a remote. We wired our entire house with switches from Smart Home. Wiring house lights to a remote device is a lot like tattoos. Do the first one and the next thing you know you're getting more and more.
Have a great time with it Luke. I got my Ipad2 a couple of months ago and just keep finding more and more uses for it.
And I have to agree with the folks that love Android, my phone is android and it works great. And I haven't ruled out getting one of the Android tablets too.
Better living through gadgets....
I find many social networking sites' Apps to be more fun to use to visit with my iPad, than with my desktop using web browser.
Over here in the UK, TV news people seem to use tablets (not sure if they're iPads) to control what's on the projection screen behind them.
I got mine a year ago because I figured it would come in handy while traveling, and being in places where I couldn't take the time to set up my desktop. That has been true.
Then, the added fun of better access to social network sites. I have not tried using my iPad to connect here. Of course, I'm sure Luke is working on a tablet App for GWW. :)
