To how many TGPS do you submit?

OK, so I'm gonna start up again with my TGP submissions... I've been so busy doing other things here that submitting free sites and galleries has been left in the dirt, but since I'm kinda between projects here, I figued I'd fill the void.

maybe I better rephrase that last bit.

anyway, to how many TGPs do you guys generally submit each gallery? I've been doing about 25-30 per, but I've heard some amazing stories about the traffic that people get, and I'm thinking I'm either submitting to the wrong places, or I just don't know some of the good ones.

Traffic varies from submission to submission to be quite honest.

Do you submit to all of them?

I would say i submit to around 70% of them only because ive narrowed the list down somewhat based on how much traffic they send out etc.

I'm just getting back into it to and I'm aiming to do 20-40 per hit. I'm still sorting through which ones I'm going to submit to, so it'll probably take me a couple of days to get there.

I'm getting pissed off with all of these TGP owners who have all these bullshit requirements. Like "hit me up on ICQ for a partner account" or "submit five samples with my recips already in place and I'll see if I like you." Or you go through all of the bother of submitting a gallery just to have their script present an error that makes no sense. So you have to leave the gallery in place just in case it went through and you don't want to get yourself banned.

So Jasun, as I get through this, I'll share my list of "good" ones with you.

did you ever have that problem with Metromen?

I had a couple of people tell me they were having trouble with some galleries (I managed to find the problem usually, but not always), but I always worried that there were some people who didn't bother to try to work it out with me, and therefore just stopped submitting.

Metromen is slowly growing, but I'd like more submitters, and unlike more TGP owners, I'm not as crabby.... usually...

Nope, I don't think I had any issues with MM. And you were nice enough to give me a partner account.

Jasun, to be successful in TGPs you have to submit to as many as you can, as often as you can. Go buy an autosubmitter and get a database of at least 500 TGPs (1000+ is better) that accept gay sites. Don't focus on only-gay TGP sites. You would be surprised at the quality of gay traffic that comes from some of those straight TGP sites.

And hand-submitting is a big waste of time! Results are directly related to the quality of your gallery & pics, not to how they were submitted.

If Metromen has anything to keep people from autosubmitting, it's not working. Chameleon has you in its list for autosubmissions, and it works.

that would explain all the straight galleries that get submitted, but how do they get past the "enter the word exactly how you see it" part?

I mean, I don't mind it if people autosubmit to the TGP, so long as they're sending traffic...

The more recent autosubmitters out there are able to read the text in the images. That's why you see many sites getting more and more crazy with how they generate the images: various fonts, sizes, lines everywhere.

I can't really answer as to whether or not I get more traffic. However, I guess I don't really mind people autosubmitting to my TGP, as long as they're decent galleries and are actually gay.

I only really get annoyed when people either submit sponsor hosted galleries or straight galleries.

One person that autosubmits to me submits like 100 at a time. They're all galleries without recips advertising Boys First Time. Now that sort of thing pisses me off.

I don't approve any of their galleries anymore, and it's easy to recognize them in my pending list. Unfortunately, I can't just ban the IP or domain because they come from lots of different IPs and are on different domains.

Unless you use the manual submit feature of the auto submitter programs you run a very high risk of being blacklisted so I don't recommend them.

Submitting by hand is a huge waste of time if you don't have partner status. You won't need partner status at the smaller TGPs because they are still hungry for decent gallery submitters and need to accept any gallery they can get that followed their rules. However, you won't get much traffic from the small TGPs.

Bottom line, you need to work at getting partner status with 30 to 50 medium to large size TGPs and can expect to get 50,000 hits or more a day if you get your gallery accepted at 30 decent size TGPs.

The best way to go about getting partner status is to submit galleries on a daily basis, if possible, to several medium sized TGPs. You probably will accepted to a few each day but your goal at this point is to get the TGP owner used to seeing submissions coming in. After a couple weeks, send an email to every TGP owner with links to at least 5 to 10 galleries you've built so they can see that you've followed their rules, are using good and not overused content and letting them know how many galleries you can submit a week. That's the reason you submitted to them on a regular basis for a couple weeks. To show them that you will actually be submitting good galleries on a frequent basis. They don't want you if you plan on submitting once a week.

If you follow the steps above you will surely get partner status with several of the TGPs you request it from. Now you start name dropping and start the process all over again with the larger TGPs. This time, after you've submitted for a couple weeks and send your email requesting partner status and listing several galleries for them to look at, you also want to list the other TGPs you already have partner status with. TGP owners all know each other, trade traffic with each other and share blacklists, etc. with each other. If you show the large TGP owner that you can produce good quality galleries that follow the rules and they can verify that you are indeed partners with some other TGPs and find out that you are trustworthy, you'll start getting partner status with them too.

We have been doing this for several years and have partner status with every major TGP -- gay and straight -- and are now in the position of having TGP owners contacting us offering us partner status.

Another major benefit to having partner status is that submissions eventually get to be as simple as emailing the links to your list each morning. No submission forms and virtually a matter of only a few minutes each day to submit to a 100 or more TGPs.

HAHA - this is my point exactly. You don't even realize that galleries are being autosubmitted, and you prolly approve all the ones that have good design & pics, right?

so why oh why would you ever hand submit if you can use a tool that does this automatically for you?

First lets look at a few thing.

The amount of traffic you can expect.

You will see people on the board stalking about getting 200K+ visitors to their galleries. This is stragiht market. When you deal with Gay market your looking at about a quater that. So about 50K+ per gallery.

Second is there is a difference between autosubmitting and assited submitting.

Autosubmitting you don't actually see the submit page the script does every thing.

With assited submitting the program loads the submit page and fills in the form fields. This give you an oppportunity to read the rules, enter a passcode, upload a thumb, double check you description and category, etc


I have use both methods.

When I switched to Advanced Submitter I saw and increase in traffic. I only do assited submits now. Doing autosubmissions requires using program like Russina Submitted or Chamelon. For me getting to submit to a bunch tiny TGPs that don't send traffic wasn't worth the extra money it costs to have a monthly membership to a submit script.
