CoronaVirus and What's Happening Where You Live?

I have to admit, I'm more than a little scared. I'm over 60 with heart disease and diabetes...

Sources around here in Cuyahoga County, OH say these cases are just the introduction and that it will soon sky rocket. Any public gatherings like sporting events and theater have been canceled. Schools are closed for at least 3 weeks. People at the stores are going nut-so, buying up bottled water and toilet paper!

If we are put into a forced lock down situation I can see needing the toilet paper, plus a lot of non perishables, but not the water. You can use bleach to sanitize water to be drinkable, and the ratio is easy to find on the internet. But everyone being sick doesn't mean we loose utilities... does it?

I literally got the last package of toilet paper at the Aldi's store yesterday. We just happened to stop in for some fresh veggies and couldn't believe what we were seeing. Canned goods were totally wiped out, not a can of beans or spaghetti O's to be seen! You probably still have time to stock up but ... Don't forget the pets!

While stores will do their best to keep restocking, the problems will come if delivery sources get interrupted.

The thing that makes this insane is we are the richest country in the world, and we're buying everything in sight.

After TES Lisbon/Cascais, I came to Madrid. Never been here before, and it was the shortest distance by plane to somewhere else.

Spain is on lockdown. Everything is closed tight, except Grocery.
Even McDs and Burger King!
And a few Pharmacies.

I've got good Internet, and I'm keeping busy.
I've been to one of my 4 favorite Grocery stores, almost daily.

I'm getting stuff done online. Updating scripts since I've migrated so much data management to Google Sheets.

I'm 69 1/3 years old.
Looking to go back to Las Vegas in October to Vote the Republicans out of office.

We are in a community quarantine for a month. And as much as I dont want to get panic, I am really alarmed on how fast the rise of those who are infected especially there is already a local transmission.

We have specialized community quarantine ongoing, I hope 100% would cooperate to stop the spread of the virus.

We have a shitload of college kids out partying for Spring Break. When authorities try and get them to disperse they are carrying on that they are young, they won't die so why should they quarantine themselves. These are the ones that are going to spread this virus to their siblings, parents, older citizens, etc etc.

How the hell did this kind of stupid - selfish - irresponsible - disrespectful (insert a lot more adjectives) youth = become our future college graduates?

Anyways, stay safe and you can learn how to make no knead bread online. Just go get some active yeast packets and a really big bag of flour!

When the kids spread it to grandma and grandpa, there isn't going to be any more Christmases.

My household did a self imposed 18 day quarantine, so we know we don't have it. Doesn't mean we can't still get it. The local numbers of infected are doubling every day.

It was risky, but we did head out to the Home Depot to get some starter plants, seeds and container potting soil. I don't expect to grow enough to feed us for a year, but I can at least look forward to some healthy, homegrown produce to cook with. I stocked up on canned goods, but fresh is always best!

Prez Trump finally got a clue that this is NOT just the flu. He's actually "thinking" of announcing a full lock-down of the entire country.

The only thing we need to do here is pickup some meds at the pharmacy tomorrow and then we're done dealing with exposure risks.

My tentative plans are to return to Bucharest soon.

I - and the property manager in Bucharest - are watching official sources, for stage-by-stage easing of travel restrictions here in Madrid, and there in Bucharest.

Another big concern: will they be able to hold XBIZ Berlin, and TES Prague, in mid-September.
Venus Berlin got cancelled.
I love both shows. A little pricey, but so many super nice people.

Bucharest Summit was June last year, now scheduled for September, stepping on the toes of the XBIZ Berlin show.
No peep out of them yet. That is a younger show, having a lot of Cam models.

Bcams.ro is first week of November.
That one has a better chance, unless there is a relapse period, where the virus re-invents itself.

This is by no means over I'm afraid. Just keep a mask on when in stores, no more shaking hands, and keep washing those hands!

My my ... you have been busy!! And here I had considered getting my bedroom cleaned up a major accomplishment!

Yesterday's project was the culmination of weeks of thought into putting one of those "Copy Text to Clipboard" buttons
on one of my internal social media posting preparation pages.

When I sat down to do it after dinner last night, it took 3 1/2 hours.

The first 3 hours was trial-and-error, trying and rejecting all sorts of complicated java stuff, requiring separate .css and .js files, included by the .php page. What a headache of overkill.

Final project was about 12 lines of .php and equivalent java, all on the same .php page.

I like it, Twitter likes it.
So now, on to the next project.
One day at a time.

I am still in Madrid, but the UK is on the horizon for August-October.

3 more weeks until the second.

My household and I finally got our first round and are scheduled for the second dose in June. There is enough vaccine in the US now that they have walk-in locations, no appointments necessary. I am liking De Wine's (Ohio Governor) idea of how to get people to actually get vaccinated ... he says anyone in Ohio that has at least the first shot will have their names in 5 drawings over the next few weeks and the prize is: 1 Million $$$$.

There is also a drawing for those under the age of 18. They could win a 4 year full scholarship to any college or university in Ohio, including room and board.

We're at the point where anyone fully vaccinated won't have to wear masks or worry about the social distancing!! YEAH!!!! (anybody needing a couple boxes of disposable masks, or a shitload of hand sanitizer LOL ??)

I had my first AZ in late January. Two days of aches and pains.
I was expecting the second 2 weeks later, but it turned out to be 3 months later!

That vacc went smooth. never felt a thing at all!
In fact, I feel super energized.

I've had 2 COVID tests, one Antigen and one PCR.
I have Certificates that both are Negative.

I feel lucky at age 70 1/2.
My Visa for the UK expired, so I am now in Lisbon.

So lucky, that last night I did a live cam cum show, recorded it, and am now uploading it.
With PH no longer giving away our work for free, there's 3 VOD and 1 Tube site that has become favorites of viewers.

For over 9 months I have not needed to colorize my beard. Saved better part of $10 every 3 months in hair coloring and an hour of processing time! That is about to change.

Except that I will continue to wear face coverings in stores.

We haven't heard from Bec for a few months!!
