Please take a moment for Steve's Dog

Steve from Scorpio Design is very sad and worried because tomorrow he will find out if he has to put his dog to sleep. Steve has been through so much this year and now he might lose his dog. Please take a moment to think or pray for his dog.

I had to put my dog to sleep 6 months ago and I know how bad you are feeling right now...
I just can say that, try to be strong and think you are doing the best you can do for your friend... don't be sad otherwise he will feel you are sad, that will make him feel worse. Think how lucky you are to have shared your live with him.
He will be up there taking care of you... forever.

Hi guys and girls.

First of all, Mark, i thank you a lot for posting a thread about it. I haven't noticed it until this morning when i got up. So i really appreciate that gesture.

Then i'd like to thanks everybody else for showing such interests.

My dog went under surgery yesterday morning. Doctors said she did amazingly well... i'm not surprised because Eclipse is very very strong headed, and no surgeries would scare her :)

So she did well.. but they still wanted to keep her overnight because of the fact she's very very skinny now and wanted to be sure she was fine... She hasnt eaten anything in 1 week and lost a lot of weight. They did take 11 liters of fluid from her belly which is big.

So now we're going to get her back this afternoon... they'll give her seringe with food to shove down her throat... not a really nice practice but i'll do what it takes.

Now we need to wait for the results of the biopsy probably Monday. So yeah i'm gonna have the whole week end thinking that Monday, i'll know if i have to put my dog to sleep or not. But i'm thinking positive and with all the people sending out good thoughts... i'm sure everything will be fine and that they're going to find the problem and fix it and she'll be running like never before :)

She has 2 little sisters waiting for her and a daddy who loves her so much so nothing can happen to her now :) doesn't it? :)

I have two golden retrievers and one is getting on in age. I guess everyone doesnt feel the same but to me, they are my kids, at least the closest I will ever get.

Hi guys and girls.

Here is an update about my dog.
She came out of surgery very fine... We had a problem 2 days after the surgery though... she took all the staples out and lost lots of bloods as the wound was wide open. But we had it taken care of... she's a very stubborn dog.

THe results are back and Eclipse has what it's called: canine chronic active hepatitis.

It's unfortunately not curable but is treatable. She'll have to take shots of steroids and have to take pills all her life. The doctors are trying to find the best treatment for her to make her and our life better. This is not gonna be easy but hopefully it'll work out fine and she'll be with us for many years to come. She's starting to eat more and more which is good and without even taking any pills right now.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your support... this is very very much appreciated. I love you all.

That's good news that it is treatable. :) You'll get used to any treatment that it will be second nature and done without thinking after time. :)

I hae had a diabetic cat that got shots twice a day, i have an arthritic golden retriever now that requires medicine and physical therapy, but what else you gonna do??

They are my kids. So happy to hear the good news!!!!!!!!
