Exclusive content question...

Hi all, First off I want to thank those of you who sent me the get well wishes and ecards. I'm doing much better and hope to meet you at Internext.

Now about the content question... I have a pay site MegaHung.com and right now I buy my content from OUNIQUE (Thanks Don), but recently I made a deal and bought some exclusive content. The model has big potential but he's green, so his look needs some work. Also, the photographer I used does great work but he doesn't have much experience shooting gay content BUT he's totally eager to learn. Anyway, I originally did the exclusive content for my customers to give them something fresh to look at but now that I think about it, I'm wondering if I am doing the right thing. Should I put text on the site somewhere that says "New exclusive pics for MegaHung customers" or something? If anything else I wrote here begs comments please answer those too. It's just this whole idea is so new to me and I'm not sure how to incorporate it into my site.

Remember guys...I'm green too so go easy on me.

I would definitely put a notice on the outside that your site has some exclusive content. And I might even show a couple of softcore pics so people can see you're not lying to them.

If I remember the outside of your site, there were models I had seen a few years back, so the seasoned surfer is going to know that, too. Telling them you have exlusive content inside will help, but showing them a little bit will help even more. Remember "show don't tell," just don't show too much.

Mamakity, that sure is a pretty tour that you have, but D-bear is right... the tour model pics are kind of old. I would definately show-off your exclusive content on your tour pages!

Most definitely! exclusive content is something surfers want to see and the more you cna show the better! You sound like you are heading in the righ direction and i know if you work with your photographer you can get him there!

Photography is always a learning experience and it can be intimidating. As long as your photographer is willing to learn and practice he will grow and only get better and better.

If I can give any advice it would be to have him learn lighting. Lighting is the most important key to great photos and usually different camera stores will have free or cheap lighting classes. Also books can really help on lighting and also composition. I used to tear photos out of magazines and try to recreate them. Not to copy but to see what I could learn from setting up the shoot.

I know this isnt much but maybe this will help some!

Thanks guys. Yea, the photographer is great with a studio and all. He's a pro and does video. But it's good info and experience for me as I am learning lighting and stuff with my canon 10D and soon to shoot my own stuff. If your interested in his work his name is Patric at Soft Focus Productions. He's a great guy and very open minded.

The model though is a straight guy with zero style but a really big, let's just say potential. hehehe My cousin is way into fashion and looks and he is going to come along to the next shoot to give the model some pointers (that sounds funny).

Last question...I was just going to make the notations in my memebers area about the exclusive content as a little treat to my customers...you really think I should put a teaser on my splash page? I don't know that I can afford to keep getting exclusive content each month and I don't want to false advertise. I was planning on doing an X-mas scene as a bonus for my clients but not before then. I'm still not making that much. Plus my revenue is paying for all my hospital bills. Any suggestions.

Oh and my HUB just got done and should go live tomarrow...should I maybe put the teaser their?

I put the latest update on my splash page. It's easiest for surfers to see what's new without having to navigate the site.

For your site Mamakity I'd put up a good size photo with a description of "New exlusive model Thor" or something like that.

if shot right, a big dick looks bigger to me on a skinny guy.

btw, i promote some tours that sell really well that are virtually 100% "vintage" ounique content on the tours. i think the choice of WHICH content you have on your tour really matters a lot when you go for the older stuff.

on the outside you can say something like, "Exclusive content inside for members only." And that way you're not promising that there's new stuff every week or month, you're simply saying there is exclusive, never-before-seen content for members of your site, which there is.

I'm such a guppy. That means I'm bait! I don't wanna be bait anymore. My friend told me about www.w3schools.com/default.asp and that he learned how to do this stuff in a weekend. I'm not that smart and I'm still recovering from my last stint in the hospital.

I'll be okay though. Once I get this all figured out I'll look back on this moment and laugh. Right? All this stuff is just motivating me even more to learn it. If I could just keep my butt out of the hospital I might have already ha this.
