yeah, people saving their money for gifts instead of porn
Well the last 2 r 3 days have been bad here and again, looking at referral stats, its not just us but it appears to be across the board :(
Regards,
Lee
yeah, sales have been slow for us at AdultLounge.com. been hearing the same thing from others. :(
Actually for me sales of mailorder movies are pretty strong. VOD is pretty much the same level too. I guess that operates differently then a monthly online memberships.

It's been really bad for me since Dec 5th. And even November was rather poor.
When does the Christmas real-world shopping season end, and when does the internet porn rise again? I heard Xmas is supposed to be good for sales, but according to this it's gonna be disasterous :\
Hint - diversify!
Whenever one thing is resting, something else breathes new life.

Does my newbie voice count on this one???
Here goes...Last month was really good for me. This month not so good, actually down right crappy.
Why not give universalpass.com a try! we will give you $30.00 just for joining!:high:Quote:

Btw, your sig can be no bigger than 120x60 ;)
I have done absolutely zero advertising in the last 6 weeks (thanks to lightning and holidays) and it got slow at the end of Nov but this week sales have gone up :D
cheers,
Luke
Sales have been steady here so far for this month. :santa:
Mark
i think christmas eve is bad for us
hmm.. Sales are up here on everything. Our stats remote with all of our sponsors listed predict this to be our best month ever based on what has happened so far this month. November was our previous best month.
For those of you with lower sales, do you see anything in your webstats to explain it? Is there a decrease in traffic? If so, is it one particular source that has dried up or turned off? If you are using sponsors, are they all using one particular billing company that maybe scrubbing harder to keep their CB ratios in check? If it is a paysite, are you activly managing your cascades?
Other than the Just Us Boy's Club (watch for the affiliate program in January), we are having the best luck this month with Corbin Fisher's affiliate program. That site is converting like crazy. We are also seeing a lot of sales on Adult Check and Acmoviepass.com. I realize Adult Check is out for many, but we make at least 8-15 sales a day (combination of trials, and full-sales) on acmoviepass.com. They also have an 87% retention rate and those bonuses are great.
I hope something in there was beneficial.
Oh, you're one of those AC scumbags, j/k ;)Quote:

They haven't fucked over the elite webmasters yet? What a surprise!
I guess I missed the whole Adult Check thing. What happened? If they were screwing webmasters over, why is anyone supporting them, alite or not?Quote:

I feel like I dug myself into a hole, lol. Well, long story made short, my understanding is that they had heat from CC companies in complying with IPSP rules as an AVS. They basically created a a closed network of properties that they could keep a close eye on and asked webmasters making more than ~10 sales per month to stay and webmasters that made less than ~4 per month were kicked out. Anyone inbetween was put into an affiliate program. Other programs have done similar things now, but they were one of the first back when all the billing companies were shutting down and taking heat from Visa. Needless to say, they didn't make a lot of friends, but again my understanding was that they had to make some really tough decisions (remember they were the first ones that Perfect10 ever went after...They won and AC undoubtedly paid out the ass. Now they are going after Google and Visa. When Acacia filed their reverse class-action last year, they named AC as the lead defender). I think they just had a whole bunch of shit come down on them and were trying to hang in there the best they could at the time.
Second question is why do we still support them siince they did that. Sadly, I admit it comes down to money. Could we leave, sure, but we have slightly over 30K/month recurring that we can't just walk away from. We'd be  to do that.
You know.. one sale a week isn't much to ask of someone so their decision seems sound to me. I've personally seen so much of my content on those verification sites, but it comes with the territory and it's part of the business.Quote:

Regarding the money thing, you guys are doing pretty well there eh? I think you don't really mind what AC did, from your explanation, I don't think what they did was wrong either. I'm sure if someone was really screwing people over you'd cut them loose regardless of how much money they brought in because it would be the right thing to do and you'd know that if they screwed other people over, it would just be a matter of time before they would do it to you as well.
Damn it's 7am here and already 75 degrees. I'm going for a dip in the pool. Cheers! :high:
AC just didn't kicked out the smaller webmasters they keept their recurring members and stop paying those webmasters
CorbinFisher is a cash cow. I started promoting them back in the summer and they've been the top revenue generator every month since.Quote:

Not to toot our own horn here over at BionicPixels, but we're thrilled to work closely with CorbinFisher. A relationship that started when I signed up for their affiliate program and promoted them on a free site of mine has continued to develop. In fact, BionicPixels redesigned the CorbinFisher site to the new blue/gold look and their sales and conversions have kicked up significantly since! We also do a lot of their art work - print ads, web ads, other print material and promotional items (flyers, tshirts, etc). That's not to try and take credit for their sales. They have amazing content, amazing models, perfectly implemented DRM, a great vision from their owners, they stay true to their mission, know where to spend their money, and affiliate webmasters all benefit as a result. And so it's a thrill for us - and me especially since I'm a big fan of their content - to have discovered we're so compatible with CorbinFisher when it comes to turning their ideas and visions in to tangible material and playing a part in their growth.
If you're not promoting CorbinFisher.com now, ya best start. Cuz the getting is definitely good.
To echo some more of what Bryce said... for me, my free site that makes money off of referrals had its best month ever in November. And December is on track to be even better. A year's worth of compiled rebills is only part of that, as well. New sales are also up. I launched a massive promotional campaign that my surfers are having a blast with this month. We're running contests and giving away free porn and that has caused traffic to jump through word of mouth, clickthrus to sponsors to jump as I give new exposure through the contest announcements and what not.
Announce a new contest, link through to the contests sponsor... for every prize we give away we get 5 people who didn't win one paying to get it nonetheless. In fact, we had a contest where we gave a prize away to a CuriousCash.com site (thanks, Lindsay, Tim and Dan!!!). We got some signups during the contest launch from all the banners and links that were up as part of the contest announcement, and the surfer who won the contest ended up paying to join a couple more of CuriousCash's sites because he liked the models he saw so much and wanted to see more of them.
For the pay/membership sites I'm working with, sales are also up. Due in no small part to having had many key affiliate signups in November and October and so increased not only traffic but the number of rebills coming through in Dec.
All in all, things are lookin' good!
Now that was not the right thing to do :evil:Quote:

My sales have been rock solid and rebills just as good. In fact, it's looking like this will be one of my best periods ever.
This Saturday and Sunday has sucked compared with the past couple, but they're still ok.

That's what makes AC such scumbags! I didn't really care one way or the other, I was never able to sell their program. But I know a few people that took it in the shorts, lol.Quote:

Also, don't forget the ACpay/EGSpay thing either.
Not to mention they're an off-shore company now, located in the Cook Islands...

JustBryce, I was just giving you shit about AC. I'm sure I would have done the same thing rather than give up $30000 a month. But watch your back with these guys. ;)
