The kitten's were born!!!!

Those of you who knew about my little hussy Diva, will be happy to know she gave birth to 4 very cute kittens.

All but one have white socks on there little feetsies. The forth one looks just like her mama and is all black. One slate colored baby with white feet and white stripe down her nose. One black with white socks and a white goatee. And one greyish black with white feet, belly and white stripe down her nose to the belly.

Mama is doing great and being very attentive.

There ya have it...DamKity and I are grandparents!

There is nothing better than new kittens. Be sure to take those baby pictures. They grow up so fast. I have 6 myself. My life is all about kitty litter and hairballs but they are my world and I live for them.

Keep those babies warm. Any names yet ?

I think Andy is a GREAT name for a kitten. ;)

I think Andy is a great name too. Other names would be Gypsy, Nubian Princess and Pepe Le Pue.

It's funny cause my father in law wants two, my sister want one and my little boy wants one. Personally, there mine, there al mine mine mine.

But yes, I will get the pictures up after I take them.

i hand-raised two newborn infant kittens, and they are so dear when they are little - but it's crazy how fast they change! can't wait to see pics of your new kitty family :)

Arn't these babies cute? I have to take them to the vet tomarrow. The little grey one has a cleft pallet and isn't thriving. I'm trying to feed her with a special syringe but she's fiesty. I'll send more pics as I take them.

Oh and by the way, I took those pictures with my Canon 10D. Not too shabby for not reading the directions. hehehe

Oh my - that one little gray one with white feet looks a lot like one of the kittens we just had too! Squeaks (my calico) got out on me and came home pregnant and 4 kittens were added to the zoo here on Dec.17th. One didn't live past a day for some reason, but the remaining 3 are hell on wheels now! They'll be 6 weeks old tomorrow. They're eating kitten chow, figured out how the legs work, and climb up on anything and everything. You can't help but sit and just smile and laugh at their crazy antics.

Well sad news for the little grey one. Last night I noticed she had a cleft pallet. She wasn't getting fat like the others so I checked and sure enough. I went out and bought the kit to feed her to get her some nourishment, that didn't work. Took them all to the vet today and the Vet said it was the worst case of cleft she's seen. But the other three are healthy and strong.

So my 10 year old (Kevin) and I decided it would be best to let her cross over without suffering. Tough decision for us both. Worse for Kev though cause his weener dog was killed 2 weeks ago at his dads house.

Kevin named the little grey one "Cutie Pie". (I didn't think he had ever seen any episodes of Anna Nicole Smith. Eek) Anyway, the Vet let us bring her home to barry her. Kevin dug a deep hole, laid her in there and covered her up. He found this huge thick stone and put it over the top then etched " R.I.P. Cutie Pie". He so cute cause he turned to me and said, "You know mom, I wanted to keep this one and now I guess I got my wish." I smiled at him and knew this was the best closure for him and me. :angel:

I love that kid! So anyway, Cutie pie is on the other side and all I can think is thank God, I took those pictures.

I'll keep pictures coming of the other three.:kitten:

Tell Kevin to be strong - I remember when my kitty disappeared when I was 8 or 9, I cried all night! I'm gonna go curl up with a blanket and watch Lifetime now....

Thank you Michael. Kevin say's, "you give good hugs". then he giggled.

I'm going to take some pictures tonight of the 3 little hairballs so Donnie can post those too. They are so precious. Diva is still looking around for Cutie Pie but I figured out that it's probably because Kevin and I had her scent on us. So we changed our clothes, I think it's helping.

Ah, I didn't think to mention it does help the mother if she can sniff the dead cub ... then she understands and usually stops searching.

Well that's interesting Bec because the Vet said that she let Diva see Cutie Pie but that Diva turned away. So I wonder if Diva just didn't realize that was her baby. It's so hard to say. But the Vet also told me NOT to show Diva the baby again, so I don't know. I guess because she had already but again I don't know.

You clarified that action for me though. I couldn't figure out why she showed the baby to Diva. Now I get it. Thank you.

We went to PetSmart on Saturday evening and almost bought a parrot.. then a pair of kittens that looked EXACTLY like your ones.
