RentMyCock.com - suggestions please!

Hello to all-

My name is Sean Lee. I have a new site Im working on RentMyCock.com.
This is my 3d site and again the same problem- traffic! Can you guys give me some suggestions- what changes need to be implamented in order to really start making money. Are the days of making lots of E money over. Is it possible to partner up with a site like "prideBucks or BigCashsociety"? Have you ever heard of a big sites hosting other sites under there umbrella - thus creating somewhat of a percentage partnership?
Also; we have our first DVD due out in two weeks- what other alternatives are there for a "Solo-jack off DVD" other than selling the movie on our site or AMVC? Anyone familiar with DVD distribution?

Please- any advice would help!

no text on the page, so no search engine traffic. why not tell about the models - and maybe if your site has a theme, like rent boys (i figure... rentmycock), you can talk about why these are rent boys.

i never send traffic to a site without enough text to weave the fantasy, and a lot of webmasters pay me to write text for their sites. i've always felt that the most average models can be made exciting by a fantasy - they're straight or this is their first time modeling or something. i'd love to see that page with text, and also with a header instead of a banner up top.

tell us about the model. use keywords in your sentences and traffic will slowly start to trickle in off the engines, then pick up.

That gateway pay you have that refreshes over that's filled with about 10,000 repetitive keywords? That's a PERFECT way to get yourself automatically banned by every search engine on the planet. It's serving the exact opposite purpose than what you're hoping for.

IMHO, you should drop that page ASAP, and hire someone like basschick to write model descriptions/bios for you that are keyword rich.

I think you'll find that you'll end up with much better results.

The guys you have on the site are hot. They look great.

The site itself, though... well... looks a whole damn lot like SeanCody.com. Or, at the very least, the last version of SeanCody.com before the redesign they put in within the last couple of months.

Like... a shitload like it. Awkwardly so. hehe.

I echo what basschick said ... you need good hot keyword text and tell the surfer who these guys are and what the site focus is.

I also get the impression from the tour that you have like 11-12 guys, with a 19.95 price tag ... chances are surfers that do make it to the site don't think there's enough heat happening there to work their hand back around to their wallet.

That one section that says more guys and then empty blocks with the site name for thumbnails is what gives the impression of very little content. Maybe change that out for awhile til you can show a shitload of different models.

Good eye, Scorpio! Thanks for posting the screen cap. This is a startling example of what NOT to do. The keyword spamming and the direct copying of a very popular website are taboo in this business. This is an great way to get a bad reputation. :(

I have watched this website for awhile now...he does nothing but imitate (polite term for STEAL) other sites. I am located in Miami and I have done original shoots with most of the models on that site (so they are indeed in Miami) BUT all of THOSE sets on his "site" he simply bought from Ounique.com

There is nothing original about this site as others have noticed and commented.

Miami B.. you should do your research. These are all original videos... see if you see them on ounique...in fact you should be real nervous... as we live in the same town... I know all about you and your slime ball reputation... dont make me come see you personaly! You should think about what your going to say before you open your silly mouth. In fact some of the content on MiamiBoyz.com was shot by me- meaning you paid me. Meaning I outsoured it to ounique... Maybe your a little intimadated because your videos ae weak (editing and shooting). As for anyone else has something "stupid" to say...well keep your eyes open and your mouth shut, as we are on the rise! We live in Miami- we have all the hot models, we are here, and we aren't going anywhere! So continue to hate- because thats what fagz do! Ive stayed out of this until now but, you blatantly stole the design for your site from the Sean Cody site, even a monkey could tell thats what you did.

You are correct, there is constructive critisizm and envy, in this thread you were given some solid advice... dont use stolen designs.

In the game of business- when something works you use that as a model.... if the design looks a little similar than so be it... Sean Cody is at the top( one of the best).. so we just structured our site accordingly... Are you going to tell me in the business world that is not how things work... Im quite sure if there is a problem Sean Cody's team will address us. Until then - thanks for the solid advice, redicule, constructive criticism and the such. There is a difference between "being inspired by" and flat out ripping off. You're ripping off his design.

You don't think SeanCody's popularity will come back and bite you in the butt? You say yourself that SeanCody.com is an extremely successful, well known, popular site. And so you think ripping off his design will in turn make your site successful. It's not that easy. Firstly, everyone and anyone who goes to your site will see how it's a rip off of SeanCody.com because their site is so popular. Everyone and their brother has seen SeanCody's site before, will credit SeanCody with the original design, and recognize you as having copied it. You won't generate popularity that way. You'll generate contempt, criticism, skepticism and ridicule. From surfers. Not just other webmasters.

But speaking of other webmasters, what respectable webmaster with a lot of traffic at their disposal to send to affiliates would want to promote a site that's so clearly a rip off of another and one step away from a lawsuit? I sure as hell am not going to sign up for an affiliate program that so blatantly steals another site's design and is, at the absolute best, borderline legit in appearance. If I want to promote a site that looks like SeanCody.com, I'll promote SeanCody.com. And I'm not the only webmaster who will reach that conclusion.

On another front, SeanCody.com became so popular because of content. Not site design. If you feel your content is worthy of making the site successful, then that is the foundation upon which you build your site. Your content. Not someone else's design. That you seem to think that practically copying someone else's design pixel for pixel will lead to similar success as theirs doesn't say much for your company's capabilities and understanding of the industry and the marketplace. If you're confident in your content, just about any design will make it work.

And finally, don't be a dickhead. It wins you no allies. You came in here asking for feedback.

Your site is a flat out rip off of another. And you're surprised by that being pointed out in the feedback?

You got hot guys on the site. If that's exclusive and original content, how about an exclusive and original design? If you can't handle that, then this isn't the business for you.

Ok, you have GOT to be kidding me? You sir, have an awful lot to learn about the business world, and probably about life in general. Allow me to provide some brief illumination for you:

1. Threatening people physically, as I think it pretty obvious you did here, isn't a great way to impress upon others that you're a legitimate business person. In fact, you sound like a low-level Mafia thug.

2. Degrading homosexuals on a gay forum probably wasn't the best idea either.

3. This is one of the most frequented forums in the adult gay industry. There are many times more people that come here to read, than do to post. Why? Because they want to research various programs and companies before making a decision of who they may want to work with. What type of impression do you think you've made for yourself for those that come here to research your affiliate program?

4. You're telling some of the most successful people in this industry that the advice they are giving you is based on jealousy. Not to be too insulting, but you have absolutely nothing going for you that anyone on this forum should be jealous of.

I do aplogize to the board as well as anyone who may have took offense to our message...It is very frustrating when you put so much effort into your project to be called a thief. I do all my editing, shooting, model scouting, as well as put up the capital for the models... I am young and new to the business so I am learning. Understand that pridebucks, bigcashsociety, miamiboys, rentmycock, and a slew of others - are all in the same backyard (Miami). Many of us use the same advertising vehicles for models - So it is very competitive! I do apologize again for my blatant disrespect for the board... without you guys it will be a hell of a lot harder. Just give your fellow webmaster a little credit... I am ambitious, hardworking, competitive, but one thing I am not is a thief. I would never steal anything from anyone. Thanks for the apology, its takes a big man to admit when he is wrong :)

Hopefully some of the feedback will allow you to take another look at your site to build on a new original concept which will work even better for you than the current layout.

Sorry about being so blunt in my comments (that's just the way I am and yes, it does get me in trouble from time to time). You are correct, there are a lot of sites produced in Miami and since ours has been online for the past 6 years our track record is proven. I do all of the design, marketing, and photography as well so if you would like some suggestions or direction from an established, successful site owner I would be happy to offer my help to a fellow Miami webmaster.

the design on that page is identical, and that's not legal. it's theft of intellectual property plus copyright violation. if you don't want to be thought a thief, you need to get another design up.

i see designers on this thread who get paid to make converting websites, plus some successful webmasters as well as myself who gets paid to do site assessments and changes.

why not pay a reputable designer to do it over for you? some work very fast, and are very original.
