What i do find surprising about this thread is with over 200 views...
A lot of the straight community members we have on GWW HAVE read this thread but havent replied to it
In fact, almost 50% of the unique views on this thread alone have come from our straight community members.
Come on folks, you know we dont bite, stand up and be counted :)

Lee
Perhaps some of the straight members or lurkers feel that they would get teased or hassled from people on other boards if they posted in this thread, Lee. Personally, I could give a shit. Gay, straight, it's all good. This is adult entertainment. Aren't we supposed to be open-minded? (That's a rhetorical question... I already know the answer. :hmmph: )

I know a few gay guys that do bite :)))))))))))
I am straight... till my ass get itchy again... :D
Oh i dont doubt it, you only have to look through some of the responses on a range of boards to see the ribbing they would get if someone felt like it :(Quote:

It's entirely possible that those who don't respond don't give a shit about joining our community and just want to use our ideas and insight to make money on Gay surfers. :high:Quote:

Whomever becomes a part of the community, Gay or straight, gets all the behind the scenes knowledge and benefits so let them lurk and think they're getting the whole story
Personally I don't give a shit .. who's stickin' what where- but after a week of being told I'm just trying to make money off the backs/fronts of ppl who are gay ... I almost didn't post.
The Hets may not be posting for fear of their hard work will be maligned, not on the mertits of the product, but simply because they aren't gay.
Personally, I have found this board, warm, welcoming and a great help. As I do with any board that has been a boon to our progress, look to the advertizers here when I am buying new content.
With fond regards,

Well, me , myself, and I -- still not sure --- somewhere in between would be better! Only because ones sexuality does not make impressions on me...
I haven't seen any posts like that at all. Do you have links?Quote:

Another straight woman here.
I believe I am a straight man. But you never can tell.
I'm not very active here, but then again I'm not very active on any of the boards.
I took me 2 and 1/2 years to get to 100 posts on xbiz.
I know I've met a lot of you. I enjoyed the bellyflop contest in Aug.

I don't know where your mind is, but it's not in reality. Nobody here has said, for a week nonetheless, the comments you accuse us of. I have only made one post to you, and that's the one you just answered with a dumb ass insult.
Oh darn all the Lesbians and Bisexual women were lining up in the back to dry hump you. You know how us sex crazed Gay people are :devil:Quote:

So I'll just call this done, since all I was doing was trying to answer the question ... why aren't the straight webmasters posting for comments and site reviews. I still think my points and observations are valid, from my perspective and experience, as I'm sure you feel yours are right and correct too.

You guys both have points by the looks.. But isn't this thread supposed to be about us breeders? :err:
I was last time I had sex... but I'm only going on faith that I will still be straight by the next time I do it! (and I am happy to say fuck you to anyone that seriously has any issue with me running gay sites as a str8 man)
Personally, I just wanted to see what was said in this thread when I saw it in newsletter, and wouldn't have posted myself either, apart from you guys making assumptions about the reasons people hadn't posted.
Have you guys ever heard a str8 guy proudly state his orientation.. in a way that "offends" a group of gay men? I grew up in Sydney in the 1980s.. "Gay Bashing" was a regular phrase in news headlines and I can clearly recall at 16 years of age that I thought I had never met a gay person (niave). Until one of my closest friends was almost beaten to death one weekend.
Unfortunately I am going to have to cut this story short as a visitor just walked in the door.. But the basic point was that it isn't that long ago that gay men had no choice but the closet.. and to laugh along with jokes about the queers, and had to lie about their orientation.
As a teenager, one way a straight boy could support a gay friend was to Not declare we were anything if ever challenged. As little help as that may sound, I know more than a few straight guys who took beatings over not being willing to say they were str8 back then, that I bet wouldn't post "I'm Straight" here even now, 20 years later when everything has changed and it isn't necesary to worry at all.
Anyway.. basic point of that half done ramble is, some of your straight lurkers 'might' not be posting for positive reasons in their minds too ;-)
A very valid point indeed :thumbsup:Quote:

Thankfully that doesnt happen to often around these parts :)
A great post i might add btw, very informative and a great perspective on things that we may not have otherwise been given :)

Sorry I haven't posted more Lee!
That post count of 2 is kinda sad looking, I'll try and do better in future! :)
And this sort of thread IS a great idea imho.. "we" are not always sure how we will be taken on gay boards! I love Shelmal.. but just do not feel right posting there for some reason.. maybe it's even a bit like what Madame and Squirt are pissing about come to think. Like a feeling of being an outside parasite.
Hmmm that's not a bad question to ask for the lurkers passing this thread...
Do many gay webmasters feel resentful about straight people targetting the market?
If so, how much of that is based on the webmaster being str8? (as opposed to them just being an ignorant/obnoxious person generally)
Anyone here for Mardi Gras this weekend? :woof:

No apologies needed, post when you want to, fortunately GWW isnt about the post count unlike so many other places so you dont need to feel bad about a low post count, youll be taken seriously by the community whether you have 1 or 1000 posts :)Quote:

Well i know a lot of the GWW community members here dont feel that way towards 'outsiders' in fact we've had several topics in the past trying to get more participation from webmasters who are both straight and own straight sites, although i will admit, there are certainly those in the gay side of the industry who tend to stay away from doing business with 'straight' companies the way i look at it though, its their loss $0.02
Sounds like a new thread is needed for that ;)Quote:
