Just trying to gleam some information for a couple of things im contemplating doing sometime this year and wondered how many of us on GWW had an Epassporte account?
If you do have one, do you use it regularly?

I don't have one
Greetings:
I finally broke down and got one not too long ago. It seems literally impossible to do business with some people in this industry without it.
However, their fees, especially their loading fees, strike me as being absolutely outrageous. So, I like to use it as little as possible.
I have one but had difficulty figuring out how to use it. I didn't find it as user friendly as say, paypal. :turtle: Then again, I'm just slow...
I could have said it better myself. We use it to pay webmasters and the fees are outrageous but alot of webmasters like this payment method. Damn I wish paypal did not go anti adult.Quote:

i find it very easy to use, and i like being able to send gift cards to people.
I don't ... and still trying to figure out something akin to paypal for being able to bill out design work. Anyone have any suggestions for a way to take credit cards and wires online for porn related materials without paying out the ass for the service?
I have one and use it every day.. Epass rocks esp. for non US. :)
I have it and use it all the time. I can even give you a link to all sponsors who offer payments via ePassporte!
i have a personal epassporte. it charges me 25 cents per transaction when i send money p2p. that doesn't seem all that high to me...
I have one... I like it!
one here and its great :)
I don't either.Quote:

they say moneybookers is porn-friendly.
yes...epassporte is great because a lot of affiliate programs do direct payments to epass (with no or very little fee) which beats the hell out of two weeks in the post to Australia plus a $10 foreigh cheque cashing fee. And like Patti mentioned, to use your money it only costs 0.25 for each transfer, way cheaper than even putting it on the cc for me since once again Australia charges foreign currency conversion taxes on cc transactions which are almost always more than 25 cents.
Bec, the other solution would be to get a merchant account, either online (like thru worldpay.com) or with your local bank. Just don't mention that you are doing "adult" designs, set up a new non-adult design website and bill thru that instead...and since its not porn site memberships you won't have to worry so much about chargebacks which is the main "issue" for adult processing.
cheers,
Luke
even your own merchant account won't charge less than 25 cents for a transaction of $100... most likely you'll be paying 4 - 5%.
I don't have one. Not sure why either but just never bothered.
Experimenting with myvirtualcard though as an alternative on a site, haven't gotten it online yet but it seems no different than the others and is adult friendly but they all start off that way.
Ian
i am not comfortable with myvirtualcard, although i do know paul markham uses it on his content sites. but any third party biller who accepts u.s. business without taking that visa fee isn't compliant - visa has been less than friendly than that in the past.
About 1/3 of new affiliate who join us choose this method its becoming rather large and it looks to be a solid solution. I would choose this over myvirtualcard!
I don't have! Paypal, moneybookers.... some more
Well, I do have another design site - it just isn't online at the moment, but I had considered doing just what you're suggesting.Quote:

Epassporte... worst customer service in the business. I do not recommend them.
I use mine for everything and I love it! :)
From my experience, their costomer service is great. They fixed my problem very fast..unlike paypal, I called them up several times but never spoke to human.Quote:

I've sent email, submitted online forms and left voicemails with no response. That's my experience with them.
We use Payment Pass actually from 2000charge.com
